I think he will get more than that. I really wouldn’t be surprised to see a team like Indiana throw a 4/60M offer at him.
You never know. It only takes one dumb GM. But in general, THT's "market" is just a mirage. Teams can see that he's a tank commander with a bright green light. He wouldn't be allowed to dominate the ball and jack up turnaround stepback 3's early in the clock anywhere else. Same situation Sexton had in Cleveland. He had no suitors even with gaudy counting stats.

THT is living the dream though.

THT as a fireball off the bench, and in limited starter minute as an injury replacement, is a great fit. We need a guy with a little nasty that can do a bit of everything, and for that to be our main bench guy, or 7th man at least, would be great. I really think he will get some attention around the league though, so we may not be able to keep him. But I would absolutely NOT hold him up as our starting PG and primary ball handler. I think he gets tunnel vision too often and plays out of control too often, and doesn't look at setting up Lauri enough. He makes me think of the Joker from Dark Knight, he just does stuff, and is smart and skilled enough to turn that stuff into decent plays fairly regularly, but he isn't focused enough to run the whole show on a contender. If we are going to contend, he could absolutely be the spark off the bench that every top team needs, but I cannot see him at the starter on a team that is really going to contend. We still need to really find that guy, but I would be very happy to keep THT in that bench role longer term. Who knows he may improve to the point that he can be that starting PG we need, but he isn't right now.

I like him off the bench on an affordable deal with Dwill’s nutritionist. I’d hate to depend on him, overpay him, and risk him becoming lazy, gaining weight, and be an albatross on our franchise. I’m impressed that he’s been so productive this year. I’m skeptical that he can keep it up during a non-contract year.

One thing I've learned this year: Being shredded =/= being athletic. He's not in perfect shape, but those extra lbs definitely help THT.

He is in good shape now. He is noticeably thinner than when he came into camp. He doesn't need to be shredded but he needs to be in shape like he is now.

How the hell can you be a pro athlete and not be in really good shape? THT probably doesn’t have the genes to ever look like Mailman even if he lived in a gym and implemented “Gut and Butt” 24/7. But the dude should look a lot better than he does. Someone get the dude a chef and a shock collar. Once he passes 15 Tweenkies in one day, he gets an electrical shock.

Eh...I don't notice a huge difference. The real difference is that he's dominating the ball on offense which is way better for him. The point still stands though. Lower body fat does not equal more athleticism. His athleticism/body is the least of his worries and I'd go as far as to say it's one of his biggest advantages on the court. A large amount of NBA players would perform better if they were able to hold onto more weight even if it's not all muscle.

Bro… what? Did you see him in the preseason? He is noticeable thinner right now.

Maybe I’m crazy idk. I just rewatched his media day interview just to check and….yeah more or less the same guy. If he has gotten thinner, I wouldn’t attribute his recent play to that. Having the ball in his hands has been by far the biggest factor. Even earlier on in the season his splits while playing PG were pretty good.

I'm big on keeping THT. I liked what I saw his rookie year and was stoked we picked him up for Pat Bev. It's not too often we see guys put up 40 point performances in a Jazz uniform and THT did it at an efficient clip.

THT could be dickskin lean and his face would still look chubby.

Yeah, 40 is 40 . I get games aren't super competitive right now, but performing well is still a positive. THT reminds me of the rookies who struggle all year then put it together for the last 10 games and it's a really good springboard for their next season.
