Jazz Free Agency Summer of 2018

If we really are going to go after PG should we be hoping the lakers trade for Leonard, which means LBJ might want to sign, then they’re interest in George would go away, right. Maybe then DM could entice PG to sign a try it out one year deal?
I think the Lakers want all 3. And having kahwi and lebron would probably make george pick Lakers over jazz an easier pick for him. (If he was ever even considering us in the first place)

Here's my old trade:

Ignore that it failed. It's assuming our NG contacts remain NG. We guarantee them and the deal works. We get JJJ. Other picks and assets would need to trade hands, particularly to San Antonio, but that's the crux of it. We'd be throwing in a pick or two somewhere.

I dont think PG is going to sign here but if he cares about winning I think we are his second best choice right now, assuming he wants to get paid max or near max as well. We beat OKC with him on it. So with PG we are obviously a much better team. His only better option are if Lakers land Lebron.

I think the Jazz with PG are the 2nd best team in the NBA next season just behind GS. Depending on how the Lakers dream team goes.

The downside for PG if he joins LA or any other contender with a bonafide superstar is that he won't get as much of the credit for their success, and the pressure would be huge if things went south; and he'd have to deal with Lebron. With the Jazz he would get a ton of credit for building, not buying into a championship, and he'd be on a low-key team.

"The belief in NBA circles is the Spurs seem open to the idea of a Leonard trade, but that the cost is going to be crazy high and would likely require a third team taking on the contract of Luol Deng.

It’s being speculated by league sources that some combination of forward Brandon Ingram, guard Josh Hart and forward Kyle Kuzma would be a starting point on a deal. League sources also said it would likely take several draft picks to make something work, as those picks would have to go to a third team to absorb Deng and create a sizable Traded Player Exception for the Spurs."

Whats the best 76ers can offer? Simmons and what else. Would Spurs want Simmons? Since Lebron and Simmons cant really play together.

The Sixers have Covington, Saric, Luwawu, Korkmaz, Miami's unprotected 2021 pick and their own 1st rounders.

They aren't going to trade Simmons or Embiid.
