What's new

Jazz Starters: Harris, Hayward, Bell, Favors, Jefferson

I don't see anything wrong with any of his comments.

I must be too old school.

I would prefer he just say he is happy for Favors and is looking forward to a great season and leave it at that.
(Inside , he can be mad as hell etc....)
Last I checked this is a team sport and these are a lot of "Me" comments

As long as he does his job and plays hard, I actually think Paul's comments could serve as a perfect example for all the young Jazz players. Like everyone else, they've worked pretty damn hard to get to the height of their very competitive profession, and that amount of success- especially considering they've all been dominant players at lower levels- sometimes comes with a degree of selfishness/impatience. Knowing that a very productive/competitive veteran is willing to put the team first, despite his personal ambitions could help the young players when they don't get what they want exactly when they want it. If all of Utah's young players use perceived slights as motivation the way Paul always has, the Jazz will be in great shape moving forward.

You need to take your own advice nothing in his interview with Locke makes me think he is acting out or anything like that. Is he disappointed, sure if he wasn't I would then be worried about him not caring about starting. This will only drive him to be better.

Look at Cj. I remember him saying last year that he preferred coming off the bench, and that starting wasn't that big a deal. Who would you rather have on your team. Millsap will be fine

Two things

1. How can I take my own advice? I am not paid millions of dollars and I am not complaining about my job. If my boss tells me to do something I do it. Pay is the same

2. I noted in another post that I singled out Milsap and I did not mean to. The comment you quoted was mean to be a general statement. Athletes should shut up and play instead of taking complaints public. Like all the crap that Detroit went thru last year.

This.

Again in a general sense for all athletes.

I'm wondering how much time Howard plays tonight, it could factor in how many minutes Bell gets. Howard I think can match up well against World Peace.

Naturally I'd like to have Millsap on the team; but if he wants out; that's fine too. He is a highly sort after player with a great contract to production ratio.

Jazz could get talent back for him.

I don't really care if Bell starts; but if he plays more than 14-16mpg, that's a problem.
