Nice hyperbole, there, Franklin. Simile is when you stick closer to fact, though. Coconuts have some "milk" in them that are good to drink, in moderation. A survivalist pirate or other shipwrecked soul on a desert island would do well with a coconut shell and a piece of plastic. Two halves of the shell, one for the seawater and one for collecting the solar distillate. Actually, I'd dig a pretty deep hole in the sand, and just cover it with the sheet of plastic, and make myself a bunch of "bowls" from those coconut shells. You'd need a machete, too, unless you're just good at sawing on husks and shells with sharp rocks.
You failed to include me in your exercise: "indulging in JazzFanz drivel with weekend drunks" would line up pretty good with "babe".
You're a beer drinker babe? I thought you might eat all the peyote you can gather in the desert and pretend you don't know what it is, but not a beer drinker.

No, I don't drink any alcohol. Well, I did once brew something from some sugar and some yeast, and distill it in my laboratory still. It was putrid. However, my great grandfather and his father, grandfather and so on were pub keepers in England, and I've probably still got some inherited spirits. Another line were winemakers. I figured out that I'd be an alcoholic because I get hung up on anything. I have to force myself not to binge on stuff.
I've seen my share of drunks, however, lying passed out in a puddle of piss and vomit. And I know when I'm talking to folks who've been drinking. . . . or who are pretending to be drunk, I suppose.
