Boston needs to shed salary in order to sign Hayward anyway. Agree to a sign-and-trade without further raping our team = they get to shed salary, they get Hayward, AND they do your campaign a solid by throwing Utah a bone.

Your dad's reputation right now is one of being an unfair trade partner. This doesn't help your political career, but you are his son:

I really, really don't want to part with a 1st, but I really, really want Crowder.

As much as I'm a stalwart for being championship-driven, the Jazz are just in a no-man's land between a rebuild and any actual hope of contending, so they might as well just shrug, grab every ****ing 3&D grinder they can, and just annoy the **** out of every team they face. I can get behind that.

"Committing to them", you mean. But I agree completely. Hayward could (and should) force this to save face a little, as long as the Utah offer isn't too far off the best offer.

Could we please stop using the word "rape" to describe things that are not rape? I'd rather allow everyone to just reflect and figure out why they shouldn't do it than explain why. Pretty self-evident.

Because the Celtics can probably move Crowder by trading him to a DIFFERENT team for a pick or picks. The Jazz won't get him for nothing... but them might get a discount.

He's one of three Republican nominees. It's the primary election that people have been talking about.
