Keyontae George progression watch this year

I really doubt they will choose another MIP from the same blatantly tanking team within a few seasons.

Lauri was a feelgood story and he got a ton of nationwide publicity that year with the way the team was playing (for a while). Nobody's talking about Keyonte, because at this point, the Jazz are a joke. It's the price you pay for endlessly ****ing around.

We've lost 8 of our last 10. Just a reminder.

I think Duren will win MIP pretty easily if he keeps it up, his jump along with the Pistons jump is an easy story.

Lot of good candidates so far this year for MIP, though I think Key is objectively in the mix with all of them. He probably won't get the media attention, because it is always a story. I was very skeptical given his body language and effort at times last year and am very happy to be proven wrong so far this year. He's at least on the regular season Jamal Murray trajectory right now.

Biggest eye-opener for me was a few games back when he went two for 13 or something like that in the first half for five points then in the second half he scored 28 points. I’m very efficient shooting. I think it was a overtime game years passed he would have tanked hard in the second half as well

I was just thinking about the other guards taken around Keyonte in the 2023 draft:
Kobe Bufkin
Jalen Hood Schifino
Jordan Hawkins

Man I'm grateful we got Keyonte. I know the rebuild hasn't gone too well, but it could have gone a lot worse.
Yup, Hendricks is probably a bust, but at least we got a top 5 player in the draft

to that point, watching Amen the other day, i had the thought that as good as he is and he is damn good, Key, simply due to his ability to score from everywhere on the floor with the ball in his hands + his passing/playmaking he might ultimately be better than Amen if Amen never figures out the shooting. scoring matters in the nba if we're talking about stardom, and amen is currently at 17 ppg which is a career high but is having his worst efficiency season. and Brandon Miller can't stay healthy. it's possible Key could be the 2nd best player in the draft. the candidates are amen, miller and key. hard to make a case for anybody else at this point.

also, anthony black is looming. he's finally starting to get a bigger role and if he does, dude is going to be pretty great.
