Yes Hayward is a good player and would help this team. Obviously there is some bad blood but Jazz are in need of a player exactly like Hayward to take the next step. A solid shooting wing who can create and play defense.


But keep on going about how Burks is the answer to us being good. That troll post never gets old from you.

He is fine he is not Mitchell. He would have hurt Mitchell's progress. The team is much better off with our new core. I do think that having Burks on the bench is a mistake. There are a ton of posters who don't agree, the media doesn't agree, and Quin doesn't agree. That doesn't mean I'm wrong. I was right about KOC and right about Hayward. I'll just continue to be right. We would never know how Burks would've fit because his in the only player in the doghouse.

I think Mitchell is good enough that no one would have hurt his progress. He might not have got as many shot attempts per game but he would have been just as brilliant regardless of who was on our team. Mitchell played at about the same level as Hayward last year. Mitchells ceiling is obviously higher. But we could still use another good all-star level wing that can shoot, create and defend.

You said Hayward sucked and was a bad player. You were very wrong about that. I dont have enough time to discuss KOC but I disagree about that.


Burks has got plenty of opportunities to prove that he is a good player and he cant do that. We do know, he gets playing time and we can all see what he does. When he played well this season Snyder gave him more playing time. But then he started sucking again and his minutes went back down. He is the one controlling his playing time not Snyder. Could he fit another system? Maybe. He would probably fit in a iso system that doesnt run any plays and doesnt care about defense either. But that sounds like a crappy team.

I hope there's a discussion about playoff officiating. If that whistle doesn't blow forget everything and get back. Seemed like the whole team would freeze just long enough for a transition bucket the other way, and it happened multiple times.

There is definitely a difference in how the game is called in the P.O.s. Did anyone else catch the nuggets v wolves game last night? That was a throw back to the 90s! talk about rocky mountain wrestling!? Wow, that was a rough and tumble game, and the refs "let them play". It changes the entire game...pushing, grabbing, elbows flying, guys hitting the ground.

We have to be ready for that kind of game against OKC. Adams is taylor made for that rough and tumble game. Any thoughts of using Udoh for 4 or 5 fouls a night? I'm afraid Rudy will get pushed around, and possibly hurt going toe to toe for 36 minutes, game after game

It stinks to not have home court, but it actually takes some pressure off the Jazz. They get 2 games for Mitchell to learn and feel things out without needing to win those game. I don't know if it really even changes the Jazz chances in this series. I'm actually more upset because I preferred GS in round 2

I thought the same that Quin was outcoached. Here's why, notice how aggressive the Blazers came out on defense? I didn't see that from the Jazz. They threw the first punch, but the Jazz didn't punch back. They just tried to jab here and there, but never matched the Blazers' physicality. Quin needed to have them be more physical because the Jazz were getting banged around all over the place. On one possession, I noticed that McCollum threw a shot into Donovan's midsection with off his off-arm and I saw Donovan double over, wincing in pain as McCollum got into the paint. Did anyone else see that? Another time Lillard smacked Rubio right in the face with his off-arm. Neither foul was called, though foul against Rubio was blatantly obvious. That's why Crowder got into it with Lillard later. If the Jazz play them again, they need to smack them down from the get-go, and let the Refs start calling it, because once they start calling it, they will call it against both teams.

Wow, good point. If Snyder had just told them to be more physical we would have won. What a huge blunder on Snyder. Someone should really reach out to Snyder and pass this along. We need these coaching tips to reach Snyder before the playoffs!

It's not necessarily a coaching blunder, but a move that caught the Jazz off-guard. A good plan by the Blazer coach and it worked.

And did anyone see that punch in the gut to Donovan by CJ. He was driving on the left side of the basket and the camera was facing them. Donovan winced notceably.

By the way, people should remember it was McCollum who elbowed Rudy in the throat the game before they played the Blazers and they called the foul on Rudy -- remember Rudy holding his throat in pain. We need to take him out the next time we play the Blazers so he will stop his nonsense.

Outcoached? Seriously? That hot take is about as bad as any I’ve heard. Keep your keyboard coaching to yourself and Quin will continue being one of the best coaches in the NBA every night. Quin did not get outcoached, the team had a horrible night while Lillard was hitting ridiculous shots. Sometimes you just lose games. The Jazz players looked tired, out of sorts, and couldn’t hit anything last night. Boo hoo, that doesn’t mean Quin was outcoached, that just means **** happens sometimes. It pisses me off because saying Quin was outcoached is seriously one of the worst arguments anyone could use on basically every game. Quin is not a coach that gets outcoached, his team can sure as **** get out-shot and outplayed on a night nothing’s falling though.

Yes, the Jazz didnt care about winning a meaningless game on the back end of a back to back to end the season. There is nothing more to read into this. They were tired and had nothing to play for.
