Someone asked a question about Snyder getting out-coached, made a few suggestions about what Utah should've done differently defensively and Locke lost it. Basically said the suggestions were really stupid, etc.
Yes, I have played basketball. No, I have not played in the NBA and neither have you. When you play competitive sports and the game is meaningless its hard to play hard. It might be important to you that the Jazz got the 3rd seed but it wasnt to the players or coaches. They were looking to OKC.
The team mentioned before the game that home court didnt matter to them. So it was not an excuse after.
As for the rest of your argument, no. If someone is hard fouling the solution isnt to hard foul back that just silly. Yes the team should play harder and will when the games matter.
By teasing you has nothing to do with the Jazz not playing hard its that you claim Snyder was out coached because he didnt tell them to play hard. We didnt play hard, the team was tired and had nothing to win. When the game is meaningless its hard to play hard when you are tired and looking to the future. I have no problem with the Jazz tanking that game. 3rd seed would have been cool but meaningless.
Well, that's how the players and coaches feel. Obviously it didn't matter last year. Our record lately has shown it doesn't matter and pretty much every NBA player thinks it doesnt matter.I can't believe anyone would think home court is meaningless. When game 7 rolls around no one is going to wish they were on the road.
What else do you expect them to say? It's putting a positive spin on not getting home court. If you look at the history of the playoffs, home court advantage is a big plus.Well, that's how the players and coaches feel. Obviously it didn't matter last year. Personally I really wanted the 3 seed. I would prefer home court. But that's not a mutual feeling with the team.

If you disagree with Locke or disparage the Jazz in any way he'll go off. It's just who he is.Someone asked a question about Snyder getting out-coached, made a few suggestions about what Utah should've done differently defensively and Locke lost it. They said it before the game. Players say it every year all the time. What you said is correct statistically but that's not how a competitive athlete feels about it.
Also the team with home court advantage wins more often in the playoffs due to being the better team. That's how they get home court advantage usually.
The team would also prefer homecourt. I guarantee that if the series came down to game 7 and the nba decided to do a coin toss to decide which team gets to choose where that game is played and the jazz won the coin toss they would choose to play in slc. Guaranteed.Home court is worth $$$ to the ownership is ticket sales and concessions.
Also, what is each teams home record vs road for the regular season? I would guess that a vast majority, if not 100%, of teams have a better home record than road.Is it? The home team wins because they typically will have earned a better seed by being a better team. But in the 4-5 matchup, what's the record for the team with HCA? I bet it's not much higher than 50%.
Home court advantage is dwindling in the NBA. There is a lot to it but it's not really that big of a deal anymore. But and Denver have a bit of one due to altitude. Regardless I am positive players don't care about it in the playoffs. Just like last year for the Jazz when they only won 1 home game in the playoffs. The better team will win and that's hiw the players view it.Also, what is each teams home record vs road for the regular season?
