Hypa Hypa is probably my favorite EC song. I love all the covers as well, WBTBWB's version is the best IMO.

I've never been able to gain a taste for black/death metal. Is there a band you'd recommend?

Start with classic old school death metal bands - Morbid Angel - Altar of Madness, Death - Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy and Spiritual Healing, Atheist - Piece of time, Cancer - To the Gory End, Obituary - Slowly We Rot, Autopsy - Severed Survival, Deicide - Deicide to name a few.
I am no expert or huge fan of black metal but Dark Throne - Transylvanian Hunger or Samael - Worship Him would be a good start I guess.

Carcass is another amazing band their latest album Torn Arteries is certainly one of the best for me in year 2021. This is the best song from the album IMHO
