My question for Franklin is what do you want to see the team do with DM then? I'm in the camp that his efficiency will improve this year. Might not become Steph Curry but it'll get better with less pressure. So if it stays low what should they do? Trade while his perceived value is high? Dump it?

I want him to improve too. I think he will but I have reservations that he'll ever become a very efficient player. A couple years here and there slightly above 57 ts% is his ceiling IMO, especially since he isn't risking an All Star bid by dropping his scoring down below 18 ppg.

Trading him isn't a realistic option. The fanbase would be irate for starters, and they're on board with a championship push this year. I think most of us believe it's possible too. However, his trade value would be insane and could net a lot if the right partner was found. Who is giving up a true closer tho? Nobody.

He's also been the main scoring option on a poor to average scoring team in those l two seasons. And he's been the ONLY shot creator on said team. It is not surprising at all that he's been inefficient. Just about any player in his situation would be.

Odds are very good that this thread isn't going to age well. Now that the Jazz have more offense on this team and two more shot creators we're going to see Donovans true efficiency and it's likely going to be much higher.

Nope, not allowed. I already banned all defenses used for Carmello Anthony's chucking career. Besides, this idea that a player needs to shoot because nobody else can - in other words those shots and scoring will disappear - has been shown numerous times to be a fallacy. If you're going to get snobbish and mock the idea of others as hillarious from your intellectually superior perch then you shouldn't proceed with utter bull ****.
