Official Sign DeAndre Jordan Thread (Note from Jazzfanz: Thread not official)

He's also arguably Utah's best player. Why should he have to come off the bench? Start Favors and Millsap, bring Big Al off the bench.

That is, if Big Al's ego would allow for that...

No, because Millsap is too small to be a starting 4. Big Al still has size going for him. It's not about entitlement for Al

So because he's taller he's "entitled" to play, despite his inefficiency? I don't get it.

When Big Al has the ball, the average outcome is far worse than when Millsap has the ball. This is undeniable.

When Big Al is on the court, the Jazz team defense is far worse than when Millsap is on the court. Also undeniable.

Please, someone tell me how the argument for Big Al is based on anything other than him being entitled to start because of his height.

Ugh, look. I believe Favors and Jefferson is a far better defensive front line. Millsap is short. That is a fact. Pretty durn short for a PF. Why does there need to be another reason besides height? It's a perfectly valid argument. Size is important. And I'm fully aware Millsap is an extremely efficient offensive player. Honestly, if he could make the move to the three I'm all for it.

Why don't we just dump those guys for nothing and bring Shawn Bradley and Manute Bol out of retirement? Why does there need to be another reason besides height? It's a perfectly valid argument. Size is important.

You realize how retarded what you just wrote is, right?

Another renob decided he wanted to go all aggro and alter what I've said in order to defend some point he is for some reason grandstanding upon.

I thought it was implied that we were talking about Jefferson, Millsap and Favors here. What does Bradley or Bol have to do with anything?

Who guards PFs the worst out of this list: Favors, Jefferson, Millsap
Who guards centers worst out of this list: Favors, Jefferson, Millsap

The answer for both is Millsap. And yes, a large reason for this is the size advantage the other two have on him.

I altered nothing.

Look, the team defense is best with Millsap on the floor than with either Big Al or Favors. These stats are readily available. Yes, Big Al defends postups better than Millsap, but his team and especially his transition D is poor.

If the NBA were a one-on-one tournament, Big Al would do better defending than Millsap would, absolutely. Basketball is a team game, though, and all five guys on the court have to work together. Millsap has shown an ability and willingness to do so, Big Al hasn't. The results speak for themselves.
