Not this Gulen "sect" ******** again. The Gulen movement is a moderate Islamic movement that preaches a discourse and ethical code based in interfaith principles, and they operate dozens of schools in the United States. The nation that taps the phones of German politicians and won't let you carry a larger than travel size can of shaving cream on a 90 minute flight to Vegas isn't going to allow an Islamic sect to open schools. The only people that consider the Gulen movement to be a sect are Turkish nationals who don't like the group's influence in the Turkish political structure and, in particular, their advocacy of moderate policies.
Kanter is fine, at least in this regard. The LDS church is far more secretive and "sect"-like than the Gulen movement.
Chill.
