Got matched up with a guy about 500 points higher than me in Lichess, during an open tournament I had no business participating in. He was rated about 2400 (Lichess rating), not sure what his title really was as it wasn't in his name. I played a stupid opening, the Stafford gambit, and he bit on it like he had never seen it. I beat him in 14 moves. Easily my best win of the month. I about half-way believe he threw the game though, but I will take it!
Was able to reduce our mortgage payment by 23%. A small portion of that is the equity spread out over another 30-year term (we’ve been in the home just under 4 years), but the largest part was interest rate reduction.
I was able to snag a PS5 Disc and XBox Series X today.

Learned how to play Texas hold ‘em playing in a 30 person tournament with some pretty skilled players. I literally did. not know if a flush beat a straight. Buddy was sitting next to me coaching and pointing all my mistakes. Just having fun and learning not trying to compete. Incredible streak of luck. People gathered around the table in utter amazement as I was dealt great hole cards and incredible luck hand after hand. We are talking astronomical odds. I had 8 pocket aces. No clue what I was doing. Everyone watching including poker tv watchers said they had never seen anything remotely close to this luck. I was truly embarrassed to beat my buddy on the final table and win the tournament. It felt like a twilight zone episode.

I got a job offer and I'm really excited about it. Just a modest pay bump but some pretty nice perks and an 8-5 dayshift M-F, I currently work 12hr night shifts with weekend shifts atm.
It's a field service job. I'll be very independent going directly from my house to customer job sites. I get a company vehicle (new every 3 years) that is for work and personal use.
In my line of work I've worked with field service techs and I've always wanted to get into that field. I honestly wish this one involved more travel but I'll be working exclusively in the Salt Lake Valley to start off.
I have a bunch of stuff to do before it becomes official, but I don't see any issues. My direct manager has given me zero douche vibes at all. I've been really impressed with everyone I've talked to during the interview process. I went from thinking I was doing this for job seeking practice to accepting the offer because of how much every single interview made me believe this was a good fit for me. I feel like I interviewed them and they went from a nope to a yes please during the process.
