Potential additions for next year at SF/PF, PF/C

Hard thing on imagine moving Conley to the Knicks is that they're locked on Barrett and maybe they'll even go for Ball on this draft (yeah, Knicks being Knicks), even for the Knicks being the Knicks argument, i just don't think they're exactly looking for a pg right now.

I could picture Detroit fancying Conley, albeit Rose revival doesn't help, but what i think that really would set them away from Conley would be a 20/21 season behind closed doors. Right now selling tickets is the reason for them to not tanking, if there's no crowd, then they should just play for the ping pong balls.

If they have business interruption insurance, why is it so inconceivable that a worldwide pandemic wouldn't open the door for financial assistance for teams? Contracted players would still get their pay.

Its not like we would waive Conley in order to sign Wood to max. However, maybe we waive Conley in order to comfortably re-sign Clarkson and sign a couple of role players.

They don't have pandemic insurance doe... I'm just saying the money has to come from somewhere. Insurance companies are amazing at getting out of making payments... not gonna find some magical clause that allows nba teams to get out of paying salary. They might pick up a portion of what gate receipts would be because of business interruption insurance. Won't mean we can get out of Conley's deal.

Fair enough. You're probably right.

I'm gonna hold out hope something happens where we don't have to pay all of Conley's ridiculous contract against our cap next year. Highly unlikely, but COVID making everybody play in a bubble was too.

I honestly think that there is a trade with the bulls that would be beneficial to both teams.

Conley for Satoransky/young

more a step further (don’t hate me)

Bulls save money have a legit All Star. Conley can teach white and have a solid team of Conley/Mitchell/porter/young/carter and if it doesn’t work out, Conley/porter both expire at the end of the year and Bulls have a core of white/Mitchell/Carter with enough cap space for 2 potential max contracts in the summer of 2021.

Jazz have Satoransky/lavine/bogdanovic/markenden/Gobert with a bench of clarkson/Royce/Ingles/felicio

Lmaoooooo

Burks is having another good game in the bubble today in the playoffs. He was quietly one of the better players in the league in the bubble.
He made 32 of 56 from the field (57%), 12 of 22 from 3 (54%), and 10-14 from the line (71%)

Today he is a team high +7 for philly so far (game is ongoing)

Conley for Sato/OP isn't a terrible trade.... I wish Tobias Harris wasn't on the max, trading Conley to Philly would make a ton of sense for both teams
Would take Harris on his deal in a heartbeat provided we don't have to pay for Bojan and Conley. Don't know how to work such a thing in a deal but I just think the fit would be SO good.

Hell no

I think Conley/Bojan for Harris/Richardson would work salary wise. I'm not sure if that makes the Jazz any better though

I think Conley and our 1st (#23) to NY for Randle, Nklitina and the Clippers' 1st (#27 which NY owns) has some potential. NY spends more but move up in the draft. They also might covet Conley who can help guide a leader-less locker room.

Conley ($34.5)
Randle ($18.9) Nklitina ($6.2) = $25.1

We shed $10 million in cap while picking up a big who can score and rebound. And we need more perimeter defenders like Frank Nklitina.

Maybe they do the trade without the picks.

We still need a believable 4, and Bojan gives us nothing besides very good scoring. Harris is also substantially younger, and both his PER and +/- bear out that he's a more complete player. It's not long ago that he was also one of the best playmaking 4s in the PnR in the entire league.
