So we’re talking about Clarkson but in the wrong arena here. C’mon you guys I’m just a casual fan here but even I think there’s enough smoke between the Knicks and the Jazz that there’s a fire building. They like Clarkson, Danny’s had the hots for Grimes. Throw Fournier in and you gotta dead money match. Personally I don’t see how this trade doesn’t happen - although it may ruin our playoff chances this season.

Grimes has no contract demands as he is not a FA for 1.5 years but also just cuz he wants a high number doesn’t mean that he’s worth that.

I think they’d need more. I’d do that deal in a second. To bridge the gap we give them Ochai who has now taken the place of the rights to Ante Tomic for me as the “draw 4 wild” that smoothed out the value in any trade that is tilted too far our way.

I think so… the salary works well for ny’s goals too. I could see them going with Brogdon instead or even going for Bruce brown. I’m not sure how Thibs would like JC.

For me it would be a nice “single” but if they somehow routed Ochai elsewhere for value it could be a double. I think I like Grimes more than most here though.

I doubt they offer more than one. I don’t claim to be an expert on Grimes but he does fit the timeline and guaranteed he develops a lot better here than under Thibs in NY.

It’s actually kinda sad that we meaninglessly threw away his rights in a deal. He had way more value to us as a meme than the value in that trade. We should have always retained his rights and hang a banner commemorating having his rights. Put him up there with John, Karl and Jerry for longest tenure.

How do you figure. I mean besides maybe Booker in phoenix what guard has played better than Sexton?

Sexton has played amazing for a whopping what 15 games? As teams scout him better and focus, he will face opposition. How does he respond? Can he continue to do amazing? Does his play style end in another injury?

He is playing lights out but 16 games ago Jazz Nation threw him in every 3rd trade proposal. Now he is untouchable?

If we lose 3 straight, yall are going to go jump off the deep end again and want to trade him for twenty bird turds.

I love what Sexton is bringing right now, but Danny Ainge clearly is going to get calls and if the right option comes along, he won't hesitate to pull the trigger. He loves desperation and flipping players when their value is at top dollar. Sexton is peaking right around the trade deadline. Don't be shocked folks.
