Any references on this?
I know that LHM Vetoed an AK for Marion trade. LHM said so. As for the Boozer trades It's hear say. But I've heard it from a few people, including people outside the Jazz organization

I would say raja is a cancer, but I have a new respect for cancer, I have none for raja.
Lights out shooter? He was afraid to take them even when wide open. He was the worst wing on the team this year and that includes CJ. Hell Carrolle was far superior to him. Bell played far too many minutes to start the year. He played exactly the right amount of minutes in the playoffs. And now he should be traded for as much as they can get. I figure a sack of cow dung is to high an asking price though.Raja should have been playing. Lights out shooter and certified badass. *** all of y'all. He is better than Carroll or Howard. That being said, **** him for next yaer.

Fair enough. I still felt like he had to be respected as an outsided shoooter by defnseesess.
1) Wallace for NJ's 1st--You tell me. What could we have offered that was so much better than Wallace? Personally, I think the trade was dumb. But I think the Nets wanted GW's Bird Rights and they got them--I think. Listen, the team that made out here wasn't the one with balls. Portland did what anyone would have done. If we could have, I'm sure we would have. But for some reason, the Nets wanted Wallace. Not C.J. Miles.
2) Garnett--What the hell could we have offered for him? Boozer? Jefferson was more attractive to them. Younger, longer, more dominant inside.
3) The Clips-Davis. Do you really think we had the pockets to take on Davis? There's no way we're fronting that much money for a worthless guy. There was no amnestying when the trade went down. Off the top of my head, AK for Davis may have worked. AK was expiring so it makes some sense. But financially, the Clips would have had to pay 47. This to me is the only I see where it maybe could have worked on both ends.
But you've made it out like every GM make ballsy moves, like these, multiple times. So again, I ask you, what GM has made many a ballsy move?
Three trades and three reasons why
Just have to jump in here and mention that a lot of KOC's lack of trades had to do with the coach and the owner saying no. KOC wanted to trade AK, KOC wanted to trade Boozer. LHM said no to the first and Sloan said no to the later. KOC has made a lot of moves in the last year that might show what he can do if given the power to do so. He never really had that power until this last year IMO.

Just saw the interview. Raja was very classy. I'm not a fan of Bell, but here we can't knock him. He came across well if you saw the interview.
He said Ty didn't speak to him for the last 2 months, and tried his best just to stay ready. Playoffs came, and they iced him on the bench.
You have to admit that was strange. We could have used him over Howard.
There is another side to this of course. They didn't ask him anything about his blowup with Ty. Raja was in a very good mood, and said he had a lot of fun
watching the young guys. He just didn't understand Coach completely ignoring him. No mention though if Bell tried to reach out out to Corbin. Not a Raja fan, but
he didn't come off bad personally at all.
Man, I still like Raja.
Yeah, he didn't trade to get the shooter we needed in Korver. He didn't package three 1sts to move up and get Deron. He didn't trade Deron before it was too late like a genius.
Good post.
I don't think there's any question whatsoever that KOC has been handcuffed quite a bit in his ability to make moves with this team, both by ownership and with Jerry. I have been pretty vocal this year about not agreeing with the strategy our FO had this season, but it cracks me up when people like BR nitpick every little thing that happens or doesn't happen, as if they have the slightest clue as to what's going on behind the scenes. We don't, and judging KOC by the things we know, he has been pretty damn good as a GM, and he's not even close to playing on a level field with other GMs. He's at a disadvantage financially compared to a lot of teams, and in a big way with FAs. I definately would have liked for things to have been handled differently this season in respect to how this team is being built, but it would have come with the risk of having ticket sales drop off temporarily, and I don't think ownership is ok with that.
I was hoping that KOC would have complete freedom with Jerry gone, but judging by how things were handled this season, I don't believe that's the case. He certainly has more freedom in building the team, but not like I hoped. Obviously, KOC has made plenty of mistakes, just like every other GM in the league, but it gets a little silly when people start complaining about every single trade made around the league, as if KOC should have been able to swoop in every time with a better deal. He deserves to take some criticism for some of the things he's done, but the nitpicking really gets ridiculous.
I'm with you, the dumbass complains about KOC like he knows what the **** is going on. Blues for GM.
You mad, blues? It's not like you to lose your cool, bro.
