What's new

SI picks Utes to win PAC12 South.

Gotcha. My apologies. I doubt they'll make it though. If they do, they'll get their asses handed to them.

FSU vs. Oklahoma next week. Now that's a real game. Despite getting our asses kicked last year in Norman, and this game being at home, I see us still being a year away and losing 38-30.
Whether Stanford wins the national championship or not this year is irrelevant. I am not saying they will or they won't. All I was saying is that it's not too far fetched that Utah could lose the Pac 12 Championship game and still play in the Rose Bowl this year.

And a touchdown is worth 7 points. So as I said, Utah had a chance to win on the final play of the game. Or are you suggesting a touchdown is out of the question when the line of scrimmage is the 24 yard line? They had a chance to win, they obviously didn't take advantage of it.
What I'm saying is that the final play of the game was a field goal attempt. What a touchdown is worth is irrelevant. They weren't trying for a touchdown. The final play of the game was an attempt to tie the game. Not to win it. So in this scenario, a touchdown is out of the question. If they were trying to score a touchdown, it's a different scenario. But they weren't.

But they could have. I said they had a chance to win on the last play of the game, and that is true. They didn't take advantage of the opportunity, but the opportunity was still there. Just because they didn't, doesn't mean they couldn't have.

You also said it's not too far-fetched that a Pac-12 team is in the title game buttplug.

Intellectual dishonesty.

Correct. Stanford being in the title game is not too far fetched at all. Your retort that you think they would lose has nothing to do with them being in it or not. I never claimed anyone would win or lose (or even be in it for that matter). All I said was it is not all that far fetched for Utah to lose the Pac 12 Championship game and still play in the Rose Bowl.

Intellectual dishonesty.
Not at all. Intellectual dishonesty would be claiming that Utah had no chance at all of winning that game on the last play. They may not have won the game, but they certainly could have potentially scored a touchdown on the last play and won the game, and it would not have been far fetched. Heck, for all we know the play was supposed to be a fake fg but they botched it so they tried to kick it at the last moment and it was blocked, but they aren't admitting to it because they may use it again someday. Now that is pretty far fetched, I admit. But them scoring a touchdown from 24 yards out is not far fetched at all.

Delusional to the bitter end.

If I would've put money on which BYU fan I thought was going to bump this, I would've lost. Wasn't expecting Trout to do it.

Utah sucked last night, no doubt. But Utah can still be in the Pac 12 championship game. It's not the end of the world. Not saying the Utes will be there- don't know what to expect without Wynn or what his injury is or anything. But I think we can all agree that the first half team (before Whitt benched Fotu and Wynn got hurt) was absolutely a contender for the Pac 12 South.

Interesting. I didn't see the game so I didn't know Wynn didn't play for a half. How did the backup look?

Absolutely horrible. Looked like he finally got something going on the last series of the game, but Washington had already called off the dogs at that point.

If Wynn is out for a while (rumors are he is done for the year) then Hays will have to get a whole lot better for Utah to even make a bowl game. Hopefully he will improve with practice. He had problems with accuracy, but he also had major timing issues. There were several plays where he threw the ball too early or too late for the receiver to make a play on it. Hopefully practicing with these guys will correct a lot of it.

Dude, this is what a two week suspension will do to you. I am getting all of my missed posting in ASAP.

I'm sure Utah's loss feels good to all of the BYU idiots. Too bad their team came up 44 points short of getting the job done themselves.

Scoreboard you clowns.
