What's new

So this is why Spence hasn't been on the radio...

I think there are a decent amount of adults, possibly in their younger years, that have at one point or another gotten behind the wheel after one too many drinks. Myself included. With that said going 120 on I-15 at the age of 39 after 3 DUI's is a tough pill to swallow. I don't have much sympathy for him but I realize alcoholism is a ************* that requires life long attention. Back to square 1 for Spencer hopefully he figures it out.

Spence survived a massive brain tumor. I don't condone his DUI, but I know the guy has had his fair share of problems.

He was probably my favorite local sports talk host and it's sad to see him lose his job. I've always felt like he struggled with depression and life in general. You could almost hear it when he spoke. I hope that this will not spiral his life so out of control he'll never recover. I hope he gets the help he needs. I hope his family will choose to love him and support him.

Alcoholism is a terrible disease.

Lol wut? Seriously?
Yes?

I mean, I'm clarifying the law details for myself and anyone interested (assuming those people would be the people discussing jail time in this thread). You dont have to respond to those if you are so adamant in not wanting to discuss it. You are the one calling me out for "semantics" in discussing those things when semantics in law are clearly very important. You continue to engage me in these things for seemingly no reason other to argue with me.

Scumbag? The guy has a problem with booze. It doesnt make him a bad person.

It's possible to have a problem with booze and not put other people's lives at risk, over and over and over. Having a problem with addiction doesn't make someone a scumbag. Being a serial drunk driver absolutely does you make you a scumbag who doesn't give a **** whether or not you kill other people. Dude for sure needs to do some significant prison time. If he doesn't care about ruining other people's lives, he needs to have his life severely impacted or he will never learn.

Good post

One more thing to mention, when people get busted that many times for drunk driving, it's almost a guarantee that drunk driving is a regular part of their lifestyle. It's not like he's only done it a few times and got caught every time. He's probably gotten away with it hundreds of times and has enough money that the consequences haven't affected him enough to force him to change.

They need to lock his *** up.

Don't be a grown up. That's not JFC

I appreciated his takes and appreciated that it was clear he was an invested fan. Really liked the way he went after Bartelsdouche. Actually liked a lot of his commentary. But this thread isn’t a funeral.
