This is one of the dumbest criticisms I've seen for any NBA player lol.
 
Quin Snyder doesn't see things like most of you, so this is a mute point. He clearly likes Rubio and also wants to see Mitchell surrounded by good ball handlers sharing responsibilities. If QS and DL were as reactive to every last game as fans are, our whole team would have been traded/maxed 10 times by now. A good example is Exum, who was God Almighty last week and is John Doe today.

Not only Rubio will be back to starting PG when he comes back, both parties will very probably agree to re-sign at the end of the season.

If Rubio re-signs he'll be the back up. Dante starting. Neto is pretty good to. I think the money u save on Rubio could be well used for another player. I think they should let Rubio go

I agree with most of this but I don't think Rubio being re-signed is a surefire bet unless he has an impressive post season run. If there's a clear ceiling of a Rubio/Mitchell/Gobert team being a 2nd round team then you would like to think that DL would look for alternatives.

That's why I wrote "very probably". It's not 100% guaranteed, but IMO it's certainly more than 50% Quin wants Rubio re-signed (at a fair price).

Stats without context are dangerous:

Defenses let Rubio have wide open catch and shoot set shot 3s.
Shot volume matters -- spida's role is scoring and we need him to take shots, including stepping up and taking a tough shot when we can't manufacture an easy shot.
Donovan is and will always be a better shooter than Rubio
 
I understand the context.

I was simply responding to Kinkkk’s post about Rubio.

And while context matters, it still doesn’t change the fact that Mitchell is less efficient in that regard. And perhaps he could learn to pick his shots and battles better.
 
It's really quite strange and amazing how much Donovan's stats this year are consistent with last year.

I mean check this out:
2017/18: 20.5 ppg
2018/19: 21.3 ppg

17/18: fouls per game 2.7
18/19: fouls per game 2.7

17/18: turnovers per game 2.7
18/19: turnovers per game 2.7

17/18: blocks per game 0.3
18/19: blocks per game 0.4

17/18: steals per game 1.5
18/19: steals per game 1.6

17/18: assists per game 3.7
18/19: assists per game 3.7

17/18: rebounds per game 3.7
18/19: rebounds per game 3.7

17/18: defensive rebounds per game 3.1
18/19: defensive rebounds per game 3.1

Shot attempts and makes, free throw attempts and makes, minutes per game, shooting percentages, etc etc etc are all very close to each other both years
