Steph Curry is the best shooter ever

I wouldn't even put Nash ahead in playmaking ability. Curry's passing is also extremely good. But his handles and moves are on another level. He'd easily outshine Nash if they were on the same court. And I'm not saying Nash isn't great. He is. It's that Curry is that good imo. I think he's gonna go down as probably a top 20 player all time. The guys IQ is through the roof on the court. It looks like everything is in slow motion to him in his mind and he's just toying with everyone. It looks way too easy for him. The only thing stopping him from being a top 5 player all time is that he doesn't have the physical dominance.

I pretty much agree. The only reason I would have Nash ahead of him as a playmaker is because Nash did it longer. This is really the first season where I'd definitely say that Curry is a better playmaker than a prime Nash. If Curry keeps this up for a few more seasons he definitely leaves Nash in the dust. So I'd agree with everything you said. I think Curry right now is probably better than Nash ever was.
 
Still a little early to say this but if continues this for his career then I'd say yes.

....you guys slay me! Nash is 3rd in NBA history in career assists, has won 2 MVP's and was rooked out of a 3rd one, has way better career stats right now than Curry and it would take 10 more SOLID years of injury free seasons for him to even sniff Nashs' records.....and you guys have him in the Hall of Fame and have kicked Nash to the curb!

They're not talking about career accomplishments, they're talking about Curry's best season vs Nash's best season.

.....I think you need to join "reading is fundamental" yourself! They were talking about Curry being the "all time best shooter" in league history, if you go back and read the comments made and posted! He's had some great years recently, but his entire body of work compared to those of Nash leaves him woefully short! Don't get me wrong, he's a marvelous team player that makes everybody around him better....just as Nash did! But until he proves himself over a longer period of time, he's not better than Nash! Both were fun to watch and played the game the right way, fundamentally sound and tough to defend. I'd love to see Curry win the title this year if they get past the Spurs and end up playing the Cavaliers!

I disagree with the notion that a player has to play out his entire career and accumulate a bunch of stats for a judgment to be made about them. I tend to lean towards judging a player by their peak. And there always is a peak. Every player goes through the same phases. They aren't as good in the beginning or the end as they were somewhere in the middle. The peak is more interesting imo. Who gives a rip about how many stats were tacked on at the end of someone's career when they were all washed up and a shell of themself. What's so interesting about accumulated stats? It's all about the show in the moment and how good they are at their best. You only watch one game at a te. That's where the real entertainment is if you truly love basketball.

.....well, sounds to me like your viewpoint on this matter is being effected by the powerful marijuana you must be smoking....before, during and after the games you watch! If a guy puts together a few good games or a few good seasons...they don't put him in the Hall of Fame for that! Curry is establishing a nice resume of accomplishments, without question. But if his career ended today....he's NOT getting into the basketball HOF, a league where just about any slop-dummy can qualify! By the way, Nash was not piling up career stats during the end of his playing days.....he was basically out of commission the last 3 years or so....not piling up anything but time on the injured reserve list! Also, some games a player plays are good, some are great and others are poor or mediocre! Both Curry and Nash have had all 3! But career wise, Nash has had more good/great games than Curry at this stage of his career! I like Curry! Very good basketball player....does just about everything well and some things exceptionally well! About the only thing I don't like about him is.....his constant chewing on that mouth piece, every time the ball is not in play! What's up with that, anyway???
