The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I don't know if the Kings trying to get rid of Devin Carter is a bad thing or glowing endorsement.
I'd take him lol. Its an absolute dumpster fire over there. They want to clear up the roster so they can make a play for... checks notes... Russell Westbrook.

IDK how to go get a 2026 Kings pick but we need to figure it out.

We'd have to take on Monk....but idk that might be worth it and their moves don't have much logic to them.

Slow Mo for Carter+Saric would be a nice heist IMO. Slow Mo could probably give them 10-15 good minutes a night in their pursuit of 35 wins.

Whatever the situation, we must engage with the Kings and Pelicans as much as possible.

Lowe floated out the idea of LeBron to Miami and I kinda love it for both teams.

Riley goes all in one last time around LeBron, Bam, and Herro. Not great but anyone can win in the east.

Lakers get some picks for LeBron instead of letting him expire in a year where the West is super competitive.

The has sailed on Kessler->LAL most likely, but if LAL suddenly has future MIA picks I'm considering it for sure.

Reports are Phoenix turned down the same offer for #10… what is dumber in that situation the offer or the rejection?

The offer still. The NOP pick has a very decent chance of becoming a franchise changing player. It's obviously not guaranteed, but there is still a decent enough chance that you can only trade it for another potentially franchise changing draft pick. Add this to the fact that the odds increase based on the Bucks being a Giannis injury away from even more chances and that pick is so so so valuable.

Interestingly enough I think Utah/Washington at 5/6 is the point of the draft where that draft pick starts to get interesting as far value/risk. I've asked this before, but curious what others think: What if NOP offered that same package for #5/Ace, would you have taken it?

Pretty sad. Gun to my head, I probably would've taken him ~4-6 last season and felt nauseous about it.

Just an atrocious draft.

How much of his mediocrity was LeBron crushing his confidence? We’ve had like a half dozen guys suck with LeBron in LA only to leave and look infinitely better.

What happened to him? He was playing well up to the point when he was traded by the Lakers (that got rescinded).

Must have affected his confidence...
Just a lot of guys like him in the nba, most either a lot younger or more seasoned with NBA experience.he kinda falls in the no man's land in the middle.

If I didn't think Monk could hurt the tank I'd consider it. Still have to be careful there.
