The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Check out the video by jimmyhighroller. Bigs like Wemby generally fight uphill battles against injury, regardless of their athletics, and sometimes even because of it. I hope he avoids it but the odds are not in his favor.
But we've never seen anyone as agile at Wemby's size. That's my point. He doesnt lumber. His strides look smooth as a guy who is 6'6. Obviously he is freakish, but when you watch him, it doesnt look like it doesnt make sense. He seems very natural. If any of that makes sense.

eFG% on jumpers outside of 15 ft to tie or take the lead in the 4th/OT over the last decade. (150+ fga)
57.5% — Conley | 173 fga
56.3% — Steph | 279
55.6% — Durant | 222
54.7% — Lou Will | 201.

.40.2% — Westbrook | 343
39.0% — Kemba | 242
37.8% — DeMar | 250
35.9% — Wall | 153

Didn't know where to put this. Another reason why i love Mike a lot as a player.
That’s certainly impressive.

I dont think log said bigs get hurt because they are lumbering or because they arent agile. I think was saying its because they are big. In fact i could see agility increasing the injury risk. If you are stationary then it would seem like less chance of getting hurt than someone running all over the place and leaving their feet alot.

I think coordination is a big part of getting hurt/not hurt.

Ya probably. Riskier play probably is as well though. Wemby will probably fly through the air in traffic more frequently than someone like kessler for example.

Really interested to see how the Wizards fare this season. Obviously they will be bad because of the quality level in the NBA, but they have a really fun team.

Jones
Poole
Bilal
Kuzma
Gafford

That's a fun starting five then you got quality rookie contract rotation players like Kispert and Deni and quality vet like Wright, outside of that it's a pretty bad roster.

They look like the dream team versus this jet lagged Aussie team.

Someone has probably mentioned this, but Markelle Fultz is a free agent to keep an eye on. If he breaks out this year the Jazz could sign him to pair with George long-term.

Big shout out to Trent Forrest who was 5-6 shooting, three assists, two steal’s including the game winner on an old fashioned three point play winning it at the charity stripe. Snyder was smiling like a Cheshire Cat after that Houdini trick.

Second shoutout to NAW who has looked great in consecutive starts for the Wolves. Looks to finally have his opportunity for regular extended minutes.
