They wouldn't necessarily need to change who they are by adding someone who could be a situational rotation player. The playoffs are a different game than the regular season, it only makes sense to have as many tools in your toolbox as possible when playing a whole series against a specific team.

Also, I think they are good enough to make a serious run now, and in general I don't think teams should wait to make their teams better, especially when they have as many assets as OKC does. Rebounding is their glaring weakness, and I think it will become a problem in the post season where extra possessions are even more valuable. They are currently 28th in the league in rebounding %, so they really have a long way to go.

Yeah, I agree they shouldn't wait to make their team better, i.e their current core is good enough to make a proper run. The thing is, until some team proves me wrong, I just can't consider a team with basically zero playoff experience as a genuine contender. That's why I don't see it as a bad thing that they will have to dig themselves out of a hole they will find themselves with their glaring weaknesses.

Exactly. they are set up extremely well, probably better than any team I can think of outside of the GSW dynasty team. You just never know what is going to happen.

And I don’t think they can take Denver but if Murray or Gordon got hurt and actually had a shot and punted I’d feel pretty dumb.

Phoenix is going to be a team to watch. They are paying a bunch of tax and if they do extend Allen it will get in the GS territory for tax. If we want to move up I think both late picks or one late pick and assuming Naz Littles salary is a pretty easy yes from Phoenix. They likely end up in the 18/19 spot this year.

Totally agree. The same apply for Minny. They go all in when they trade for Rudy and have now a 2-3 years window at best. If they failed, the will probably trade KAT who still have value and go for rebuild. But ANT may not be on the same page. Definitly risky strategy but to win one you have to take risk. And of course injuries can hurt the plan very hard.

Was listening to the Lowe Post yesterday and he brought up that Jonathan Isaac has been killing it lately.

Pairing him with Hendricks could be the secret to unlocking the Jazz's defense. He's got one more on his contract so Orlando might look to deal him?

In what ways did he say he was killing it? I've watched a bit of Orlando this year, but not their past few games.

I don't see Hendricks and Isaac as complementary.

I dont recall exactly, but Orlando has been really good with him on the court according to Lowe. I think he threw out some stats, but I couldnt repeat them.

According to Bball Reference, he has a 4.4 BPM. 1.9 offensively, 2.5 defensively. So yeah, that looks like killing it. Also shooting 40% from 3 on lowish volume.

IDK if they are complementary on offense, but defensively the length and activity would be very very good.

His on/off is +16.4 as well.
