What's new

The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Hillary was accused of starting birtherism, Obama was constantly being accused of being racist against whites.

Ilhan has criticized Israel and AIPAC, not sure who's crying wolf now...

Illhan has certainly done more than criticize Israel, my friend.

I don't believe I ever compared them GF. Go back and check.
Well you tricked me into thinking you were comparing them by mentioning Katrina when I said that I don't remember the accusations of racism against Bush 2 being at all comparable to the very much more substantial allegations against Trump.

My bad.

Fool me once, something something, fool me twice... well you're not going to fool me again.

You're kind of doing that right now by trying to turn the conversation about Trump's racism into a conversation about Democrats "crying wolf."

You like to talk about nuanced conversations, but are trying to keep things as simple as possible here.

I never said Trump's racism is ok. I detest it. I think he's an awful human being. I am not defending him here. That doesn't mean we can't talk about the faults of everybody involved here! We should be able to discuss these things without falling into a "whataboutism". I should be able to raise these thoughts without getting accused of defending Trump, which is essentially what you are doing here.

What I am saying is that the Democrats have played long and hard with identity politics, calling the last candidates since, idk, Bush 1, racist in some way. Hell, it's happening with "the squad" saying Pelosi is racist! The Democrats go to far with calling people racist, and the Republicans go to far with explaining away potential racist problems, and they're both connected! If we can't talk about this now, when the hell will we ever get to? Yes, Trump is awful and we need to discuss that, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss the faults of other people in addition, including those who do not like him.

Nowhere did I accuse you of defending Trump. What I said was conservatives are more interested in making this about Democrats, which is what you were doing.

Oh and FWIW the squad did not call Pelosi a racist.

Feel free to point it out to me.

Okay.

Numerous, numerous, ties and friendships with noted anti-semites. As Trump gets called out on this, we can keep it fair, yes?

Illhan said that sanctions against Iran and Venezuela were bad, bullying, immoral, etc. Sanctions against Israel though (BDS), that's just fine.

Those should be obvious enough.

I'm interested in talking about everything, and everybody. Have you noticed that I haven't stopped talking about Trump?

So almost every nobody in here wants to make the disclaimer about Trump being "awful".

I think it's a sort of high school level of social conforming. JazzFanz is so utterly out of this world, it has it's own "reality show" going on.

I don't know Trump, probably he wouldn't think I'm an effective spokesman for him. I just think he's awesome.

good, bad or ugly..... awesome.

"Orange Man Bad" is going to be the failed political tactic of the century.

MAGA all over again, for the win.

What?

You said you didn't recall Bush 2 being called a racist. There wasn't anything in there about them being comparable. You know I can go back and read what you posted, right?

I pointed out an event that had him being called a racist for a month or so.

Geez man, I just responded to what you said. You asked for an example, I gave you one.

Care to point out these numerous ties to antisemites?

Supporting BDS does not make you an antisemite. Israel =/=Judaism. I would think for someone so concerned about unfair accusations of racism you would use a little more discretion when applying the label yourself.

Like I said, it's obvious if you want to see it. You don't. Y'all have always said that if minorities view it as wrong/racist, then it is...but not in this case. Strange.
