The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

Prediction:

The justification for arguments of Tulsi Gabbard as a Russian asset has undermined any progress believed to be made in three years of Trump Russia coverage, at least with regard to impressionable voters (the ones they’re targeting). The choir is unphased, as the high fives show. In essence, doubling down on bad assessments and 2020 will again leave them dumbfounded, and as surprised as the pigeon who met Randy Johnson’s fastball.

But don’t worry; we’ll be able to collude with each other to get four more years of new Trump-Russia theory to cover for why Democrats couldn’t put together a campaign to defeat Trump not once, but twice.
Tulsi as a Russian agent is bs and a scheme to thwart Progressives.

agents and assets aren’t synonymous.

Being a useful idiot in exchange for promoting your brand as a third party candidate is different than being James Bond.

Again, much can be solved by reading. If you wonder how Russia has historically used useful idiots, Google is just a few clicks away.

I challenge your premise that Obama “allowed” it. Prove it with evidence.
Meddling happened under the Obama administration. It was well known that Russia was meddling in 2014 and that's before Trump was even a candidate. Some in Obama's own cabinet even admit that he didn't do anything because he traded the American election for his deal with Iran. He needed Russia , he even openly admitted on a hot microphone to giving them "more leeway once he was re-elected". Now what do you think he meant by that?

He also told his intelligence agencies to stand down when they affirmed that Russia was meddling.

From CNN

The Mueller report flatly states that Russia began interfering in American democracy in 2014. Over the next couple of years, the effort blossomed into a robust attempt to interfere in our 2016 presidential election. The Obama administration knew this was going on and yet did nothing. In 2016, Obama's National Security Adviser Susan Rice told her staff to "stand down" and "knock it off" as they drew up plans to "strike back" against the Russians, according to an account from Michael Isikoff and David Corn in their book "Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin's War on America and the Election of Donald Trump".

So enlighten me. Its a fact we knew Russia was meddling before Trump even put his name in the box. This is 100% fact. Now why didn't Obama stop it? Why did Ihe order his intelligence agencies to "stand down"?

Obama cyber chief confirms 'stand down' order against Russian cyberattacks in summer 2016

President Obama’s national security adviser, to stop his efforts and “stand down.” This order was in part because Rice feared the options would leak and “box the president in.”

“I was incredulous and in disbelief,” Prieto is quoted as saying in the book. “It took me a moment to process. In my head, I was like, did I hear that correctly?” Prieto told the authors he then spoke up, asking Daniel: “Why the hell are we standing down? Michael, can you help us understand?”

Suddenly, evidence wont matter to good ol jazzy

You guys can't answer it. You know as a fact that this all leads to one guy who failed to protect our elections. This was an Obama failure. That is very consistent with the conversation at hand.

History lessons about Obama are academically instructive. But since Russian influence continues today, I’m wondering why trump is “allowing” it?

If like to know that as well but in reality its happened long before Obama and will continue to happen.

so let’s blame Obama for allowing it to happen, call the investigation into the matter a witch hunt, give the current admin a free pass, and continue to roll over for Putin.

This all seems totally sensible.
