What's new

The USA is a police state

What if the government didn't ban anything or change the constitution at all, but everyone just CHOSE to destroy thier guns since they had become obsolete (but still dangerous).

So now guns dont exist since everyone destroyed thier guns by thier own choice...... would you be ok with that scenario?

Yes I would because the right to have one is still there. Someone could make a gun if they wanted. If they don't then they have that right as well.

For me a perfect world is one where everyone also acts responsibly and gun deaths by accident don't happen regardless of the access to guns.

I would be good with that perfect world as well.
Earlier in this thread i said that if no one was ever killed or injured by guns then i would be ok with every man, woman, and child having one!

The Examiner? Why not Breitbart?

Since guns laws have been becoming more lax, and the Supreme Court in Heller declared gun ownership an individual right, how could gun prosecutions have gone anywhere but down?

I will do my very best to make any further remarks on guns in the Gun Control thread. We don't need two.

It is the first link that came up of many. Go google it and choose your source.

That right there is our disagreement. Not all that bullcrap about deaths and slavery. You are ok with that and I am not.

Should citizens have the right to own vials of smallpox? I think we both agree there are rights people should not have. Getting back to the original topic, the right to privacy is fundamental, the right to a particular type of possession is not.

Agreed.
Disagree.

Possession of certain things is a right. Of other things no.
