What's new

The Walking Dead

Holy cow, I started this thread? I haven't watched the Walking Dead since 2010, which is also crazy to me it started that long ago. On a totally unrelated note, my GFs uncle is in Fear of the Walking Dead.

No he didn't meet that line up.

Merle doesn't exist, Shane is already dead. Carl handled himself really well. In the comics he hides away in a truck like he did in the show. But in the comics he kills like a dozen guys with a rifle instead of 1 dude with a pistol.

I'd have loved to see how a Shane led group with people like previous Carol, Comics Carl and Merle backing him up would have handled this.

That would be interesting to change up the characters and see where it goes. I think their insistence on hitting specific points in the comics tends to derail the story a bit. It often seems forced or dumb then I check it out and the reason is "it was that way in the comics". I wish they had gone the GoT route and just told the story without worrying so much about hitting points from the comics. I mean, the story is already different enough, with new characters and characters that are no where near their comic counterparts, that when they do go back to the canon it kind of derails things.

But either way this season is a hot mess. It is on the verge of dumpster fire and, even though I thought I was in this one for the long haul, it may mean I get to go to bed earlier on Sundays for the next few weeks if the quality doesn't pick up at least a little.

I don't know but his name is Dayton Callie. I think he's on Sons of Anarchy and a bunch of other things too.

Oh cool, so he played old, racist, abusive ranch owner Jeremiah Otto. Amazing acting I must say.

Almost to the mid-season finale I guess. Tired of the romulans or garbage-pail kids or whatever and their stupid verbiage. It has been 3 years tops since this all went to hell, how the hell did they evolve a new language? Either way I actually liked the arc with Eugene because it actually feels like something a real person would do. Far better than people who are sworn to kill each other standing around in the open shooting the **** with nary a bullet fired except to kill a bunch of windows.

Oh and now, after barrage after barrage and hailstorm upon hailstorm of bullets, NOW that they had to shoot 50 or 60 zombies they are all of a sudden worried about ammo? I love when you count well over 100 shots from a 20 round clip, but as soon as they need a new plot point suddenly bullets are scarce. Ugh.

And am I the only one tired of the way Negan talks. Did he talk like this before all this? Did you walk into his oil-change place or whatever and get him sauntering over to you, speaking in some forced drawl while licking his face 50 times per sentence? No wonder he hungered for power. Act that like among real people and there is no way he had anything even remotely like respect from anyone.

Lol

Oh man, this show is so stupid now.

I think its been over three years though right? Carl has grown up quite a bit, but I guess that wouldn't stop them from ignoring things like that. Somehow little *** kicker has grown up some , but Maggie has been pregnant forever and still doesnt show.

None of this makes sense anymore. Is there no one there to call out these moronic producers? I cant figure out why anyone does anything they do. Why did Rick go seek the help of the trash people by himself? Why did Daryl ram that bus into the building instead of waiting for help? Why did Maggie, Jesus, and the others just sit there in their cars in front of that tree and wait til the Saviors came up to them? Why did the Saviors just let him them go? Where the hell do all these saviors come from. 50 get killed, and there are 50 more to replace them, but we never see all of them. Uggh. Its probably why Carl got killed off. He probably had enough of the stupid plot lines and wanted to quit.

Ya, and Negan is beyond annoying. Him still being a live is beyond stupid too. For one, he om2ly weighs 180lbs and it shows in the series. He carries a bat instead of a gun. I dont see how he just hasnt got his butt kicked yet or killed off. Rick was ontop of him beating his face in with a bat and somehow gets shoved off. He always stands out right in the open where he could easily be shot.

Really, I could complain about every scene in the show. No logic whatsoever. Just frustrating nonsense.

^The show is basically just a money machine for AMC. They put as little $$$ into it as possible. Even though the ratings are slipping a lot, they are still pretty good numbers.

Anyway, I think killing Carl way earlier than in comics may be pointing at the shows premature end. I read that Andrew Lincoln is getting tired of spending his time away from family every summer in Georgia so I would not be surprised that he is thinking about calling it quit as well. They already announced that Morgan will be moved to Fear the Walking Dead... so who knows what the heck are they thinking. Maybe they will kill off The Walking Dead and will keep running Fear?

morgan is not being moved to fear the walking dead. it isnt permanent. it is a crossover, because fear has not been doing well.

not enouugh TWD people watch FTWD, so this is a move to get people who are racist and dont watch fear, because of it latin american flavor, to watch it for morgan
