Trade deadline discussion

Apparently Marcus Smart thinks he will be traded by the deadline.
I have no idea how it'd work lineup-wise but I for sure would swap Bojan for him if Celtics or Magic wanna cut us in.

Probably just start him in Bojan's spot. He can guard anyone from Jamal Murray to Lebron (at least for a while). Would love to see what that maniac can do running around with Rudy behind him.

Celtics would be better off just taking on Horford's deal. They need another big. They just soft... only gonna get softer if they move Smart.

This is what I’ve been saying. All of it.

Orlando is so dumb... why would you trade Aaron Gordon and Fournier but not Vucevic? I would start with the opposite approach. Trade Nik then trade the other guys.

I'd pick up Lauri Markkanen if the Bulls' asking price isn't too high. He's making around $6MM right now, and the Jazz could match in RFA if they want him longer term. He's apparently on the market. He's only 23 and has been set back by some injuries.

Cuz vuce is on a super team friendly contract that teams will want to hold onto. Given the fact that Vuce is on a bargain deal means it's really tough for Magic to get anything worthy in return. So trading Vuce means either magic getting robbed or matching salaries that work in theory but make zero sense for any of the parties involved. Just check out the caliber of players in Vuce's salary range and you will see what I mean.

Same goes for Sabonis. Given how much he is making, Indiana will absolutely want to hold onto his contract no matter what happens.

That's fine but that type of asset only depreciates and could become worthless with one injury. If you aren't going anywhere with the asset then offload it for something that works. Fournier and AG are both team friendly deals too.

Say they could nab 4 firsts by moving all those guys and give themselves some cap room to do the OKC next year... they could really jump start things. Give Bamba a **** ton of minutes to figure things out... tank the eff outta this B for the next couple years. Vuc gonna be like 33 before they are ready to do anything.
