When it all comes down to it I just don't think this team is as good as it needs to be. Maybe me saying we won't be making the playoffs was a bit of an overstatement but at the same time I won't be surprised if we do miss out. You can never count out Lebron and the teams ahead of us have been tried and tested for a lot longer than us.

Rubio is not a great player. He's most definitely a good player but he's inconsistent. If he could continually make an impact we'd be fine but as we've seen he has many nights like last night. He continually makes terrible decisions/mistakes and him being guarded 5 feet off by guys like Trae Young makes him an absolute liability. His 13 pts, 6 assist is plainly average. Love the dude but we need someone else.

Crowder is a great defender but he provides little to nothing outside of three point shooting on offense. When he's on its big for us, when he's off he's equally as bad. Ingles is one of my all time favorites but he can't be relied upon to score consistently. It's not who he is. He needs help. Favors is great as well but how many team would start him in today's NBA? He would flourish coming off the bench. Exum I want to like but he's never healthy

Easy schedule or not I just think this team has a lot of flaws. This didn't just start last night, it's been prevalent all season. Are we a good team? Yeah. Are we top 8 in the West? I truthfully don't know. Hate in me all you want for that but it's my honest opinion. Something needs to change and I'm not overly confident we have the resources or gumption to do it.

Its a common mistake. Don't feel bad about it, but you are using irony incorrectly. Coincidence isn't irony.
The irony was people saying we need to trade then getting on someone for saying this team is not good enough.

As I said I know what irony is you just unsurprisingly failed to detect it. However you got a coincidence out of that beats me. Playing stupid per usual.

Yeah, totes man. We gave away 4 expirings and 2 firsts in that deal.

Just pass “Go” a few more times and you keep collecting assets right?

How do so few GM’s get it right when so many average Joes are killers at it?
No but I'm saying that if you get an amazing starting lineup and have to pick up some undesirables to fill out your depth then that ain't necessarily a bad thing. Having great depth and team is everything is nice and that's one way to win. Another is to get 5 really really good players (more top end talent) and maybe not be as deep.

Both can work and both can fail but I'm ready to try another method. Obviously there best thing would be to have a ton of top end talent and depth but that's rare and you might never get there

Nah, that still isn't irony.

I get it and understand what you’re saying......but....

1) we aren’t the Warriors, Rockets, Boston, Lakers etc so we aren’t ever going to be the darlings of the buyout market

2) Let’s say the exact scenario we are talking about (Conley/Mirotic) plays out with the assets discussed traded by Feb 7th. We would literally have no one that could play the hugely important 13+ mins day 1 at the 5.

We can’t afford to give games away while some league minimum dude gets up to speed.

Go get a Kaminsky or Vonleh? Sure but we’ve also traded a lot of seconds lately along with our expirings. Anyone better is gonna need a first in return and in this scenario we couldn’t give another first for 5 years.

GM’ing is hard.

Agree about it being hard. And I agree with much if what you say. I'm ready for something new, even with the risk that it will work out for the worst.

And I was driving that cake bake **** for a long long time. I'm ready to try a new starting lineup.

Yes it is. I'm just going to ignore you're dumb ***. You have a decent basketball iq but you're just a miserable person. Have a nice negative obsessive compulsive arguing life.
OK, but use the word irony properly. Please and thank you.

This. We've been mediocre+ for too long. I really want them to go for broke, whatever that means, even if it means we fail. I'll settle for a crappy few years if it means the front office is actually trying to make bold moves and take risks. Boston is a decent example. Ainge gutted the team to bring in aging stars, who then won the chip. They sucked for a while after and have had a pretty good rebuild. Yeah we aren't the draw Boston is but why can't our FO ever try to get out there and throw caution to the wind and take a shot at being more than a possible 4th seed.
