Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I do not want Conley on this roster next year,
The last thing we should be doing him is using an asset to dump his contract. I don't think that has to be the case, but I wanted to clarify that.

One other thing to add - I think Clarkson and Conley are redundant. If we get some amazing offer for Clarkson and we don't have one for Conley, I would be fine keeping Conley in a lesser role coming off the bench.

You do. You aren’t a Jazz fan you are a Mitchell fan.
I've been a Jazz fan longer than maybe you have been alive. Hell, I've been a Jazz fan longer than Donovan Mitchell has been alive.

But hey, another great contribution to the thread.

I will try not to be biased but Clarkson is a valuable weapon for us and he loves being here

I’d think about Kennard and Zubac if we traded Rudy… Kennard would quickly become the most hated JazzFanz guy… punchable face and maybe one of the least athletic guys I watched last year. Injury prone but good shooter and ball mover. Zubac is just like a super solid center but he’s cheap. Below average starter but fine stopgap until you have something more dynamic.

The Conley trade needs to be the KCP/Deni trade though… we need to take a chance on a guy that could pop. I think Deni is a natural jump in shooting away from being a super glue guy.

I would love to see Deni in a Jazz Uni.

I like Zubac if we traded Rudy and didn’t get a center back. I’d rather have him and his contract than Capela with his deal. He’s kinda the perfect salary and player that you can bench or minimize to spend/put in a stretch big. If Kennard is healthy his salary is okay but he makes our perimeter defense worse… which is saying something.

Ironically, Kennard would improve our perimeter defense because he knows that he's bad so he can hedge and recover. He will get targeted, but he knows how to get out of it with the least amount of damage. Niang actually got good at this because he noped out of switches. Conley and Mitchell are so bad at defense they should not willingly let teams target them.

And who care's anyways? We're going to **** if trade Gobert. Let's just go full blown offense. Do some combination of the WAS/ATL fake trades and run Don with Collins and Porzingis as the frontline.

Think the bulls would find anything we have worth taking for Lonzo? Or am I just day dreaming hahaha

But Kennard has Mann, George, Kawhi (kind of), Batum, and Morris out there helping him. Him plus Donovan and that crew will be a layup line. Outside of an injury the thing that will hurt Donovan's trade value most is us becoming a complete and utter layup line. He is already starting to lose a little shine but might be viewed as more of a Hardenesque problem... like he sucks at defense but they still win. Becoming a layup line he starts to become more like Minnesota LaVine or Mountain Monta or more of a looter in a riot.

I know we suck on the perimeter... but believe it or not... we could get worse.

Kennard seems like a good addition, but you're right, his defense would be a liability much like Duncan Robinson.

I want to get Bruce Brown so badly. Would the Nets value Mike Conley more than Bruce Brown?
