Which Current Jazz Player(s) Will Still Be Here 10 years From Now.

Good point. But a lot of Utah players outside those three came via trade or were signed well into their careers. We have at least three who are very young - and VERY good, and I don't think we'll look to upgrade (Favors, Gobert and Hayward) and possibly a 4th in Exum. I don't think the Jazz have EVER had this many promising YOUNG players. In 10 years, the "old man" would be Hayward at 34. Favors will be 33, Gobert 32 and Exum 29. That's still prime for all or at the very beginning of decline.

Also consider that NBA players come into the league much younger now. Back in the days of Stockton/Malone most players stayed in college for 4 years. Now most lottery picks - and even into the late first are "one and done."
There are currently 77 players in their 11th+ season. 9 of these players have played on their current team for the last 11+ consecutive seasons:

Varejao
Dirk
Kobe
Haslem
Wade
Nick Collison
Duncan
Tony Parker
Manu

It's very rare for a player to stay with the same team for 11+ seasons. Odds are none of the current Jazz players are with the team in 2024/25.

Big three. Says a lot.

I wonder what the numbers are for 10+ seasons. I feel like AK was here for ten years.

Wow. Based on the classless ignoble negative comment and rep I just received from Freakazoid for commenting in this thread, I'm afraid I have lost a great deal of respect for him as a poster. Even worse, I'm afraid he's not a happy camper. :(

Hayward only needs 5 more years, and has a contract for 2-3 more, so he's not that far off.
If he re-signs for 2-3 more years, he'll qualify as a decade player.

Agree that the NBA odds are against it. But it would not surprise me one bit if Favors, Gobert, Hayward and/or Exum becomes our Duncan/Manu/Parker trio. Our organization doesn't make rash decisions and Lindsey/Snyder are advocates of the SA system - namely, find good young players and let them develop together. Only question will be can we pay them all? In that respect, Hayward might be the most dispensable. He's the most talented offensively, but decent wings are always available. Bigs and PG's are in shorter supply.

Only three players in Jazz franchise history have stuck around for 11+ seasons: Malone, Stockton, Eaton. I doubt anyone currently on the roster is with the team in 2024/25.

How about Thon Maker? Courtesy of the Golden State Warriors. He'll be in the middle of his second contract ten years from now.

10 years is a long time in the league and Hayward and Favors are 4-5 years in. I doubt any of them will play 15 years in the league and play them all or mostly all for the Jazz.
