Our fanbase would be so irate if we Cinderella storied to the Conference Finals lol.
Only if we got there on extreme circumstance. Like we beat the Steph-less Warriors in Round 1 then a Kawi/PG-less Clippers in Round 2 to only get beat in a 5 game series vs the Wolves.

If the Jazz are legitimately good enough to reach the WCF then that's only a positive with the cap-space next year and high number of draft picks.

I’m excited to see how Butler progresses. His preseason highlights are still imprinted on my mind. I don’t think he got enough opportunities to show progression last year. I’m higher on him than most, and don’t think he should be discarded so easily, but as I’m typing this I’m wondering if he’s still stuck on the bench. Recent events lead me to believe we are retooling rather than tanking, just going the long route. Jazz are trying to win and I believe that’s the goal throughout the org and not just coach and players.

I picked Markkanen, Sexton and Agbaji. Those three guys should all get big minutes and are under team control on good contracts for at least 3 years. If the Jazz really are hoping for a quick(ish) turnaround - at least one of them has to hit big imo.

I think Kessler is going to get more minutes than most of us realize.
Yeah. Wouldn’t surprise me if he starts the season as the starting center. I know they went out and got KO, but im hoping the starting job is a battle between Dok and Kessler.

Ochai is my number one. He looks like an above average shooter and a two way player. He will be with us for 7 years min barring a trade.

Vanderbilt because we needed a player like him and I have had my hopes up for his build for 4 draft picks in a row.

My last pick would have been WHOEVER PLAYS THEMSELVES INTO A FANTASTIC TRADE! Gonna keep my eye on that guy all season. Does Conley demand a trade by a big first half of the season a la Chris Paul? JC? NAW? Gay? Surely we will feature players in our play. Danny Ainge gonna be out fishing...

I liked NAW coming into the 2019 draft. He's got pieces of his game that work pretty well. It's a question of whether he can put it together in a coherent package. He needed to improve his handle and footwork in order to unlock his playmaking at 6'6". Not sure if he can do it or not. If he could develop a floater, that would also help him a lot. In the end, he may just be a floor spacer, or backup type (think Derrick White), but I'm hoping he can do a bit more than that. He's a guy who can use his length to get to the rim.

Last season the Jazz were crying for someone his size, but Quin was the smartest guy in the universe and to the bench for you next to Gay. It really hit me when the Jazz got murdered in Game 5, they put NAW in and he did just fine. Gay had his trunks nailed to the bench. It struck me that Quin was petty and probably burned out at that point and didn't care about winning.

How many do you think he is going to get vs you think we think he is going to get?

I bet he averages 18 mpg for the season at the end.
I could see 18 mins - that's probably around where Whiteside was in a backup role. Just depends on if Dok makes any contribution (I don't even think he can practice yet).
