Lauren Boebert gonna lose? LOL

This certainly isn’t turning out to be a “red wave.” Usually the party in power loses a bunch of seats. Dems are flipping governor’s mansions, holding onto senate seats, and largely holding their own in the House.

The sooner republicans realize that they should drop the Trumpy freak shows and get back to the normal tough on national security Reagan conservatives, the better off they’ll be. There’s a lot of well informed/educated people who won’t be freaked out by those types of republicans. These freaky ones just don’t have much attraction outside of trailer parks and the south.

I'm not a weird political politician fanboy so I don't actually give a **** about either of them, but I'd vote for either of them over a traitor and the people who aided and abetted a traitor, like Lee did.

Especially in a down economy because so many voters blame the current administration on the tide going out when we could all see it happening during the previous administration. This economy is not a surprise. Just like with the construction of the Taj Mahal Casino, it never lived up to the promises and the ordinary workers were left holding the bag once it was finished only for it to close well before it's time. How many times did Trump have to declare bankruptcy to screw over all the working folks who built his dream?
 
Looks like Lee won handily. Mormons only care about the letter by the name and who is the incumbent. Awful hard to turn over a seat in Utah. But once you're in you can do damn near whatever you want, you have a gig for life.

The only chance you have to lose in Utah is ticking off your right flank and then being primaried. It’s why Lee has zero incentive to work with Democrats and moderate Republicans. In fact, he’s incentivized to not work with anyone and continue to just obstruct. That’s what his right flank wants.

This is how how we lost Bob Bennett and got Lee in the first place. Bob worked with that “limp” Bush to bailout banks (TARP). Then he worked with that socialist Muslim communist Kenyan to stimulate the economy. This ticked off his right flank and decades of public service was buried one caucus night when the nuttiest of the GOP got together and ousted him. I was there and those were some weird times. People showing up in tea party garb, complaining about socialism and bailouts, and screaming about birth certificates (brother Glenn Beck was just ramping up his tv campaign against Obama). Caucus night always featured political die hard and John Birch Society nutcakes but this one was much weirder.

Although, it’s harder now to lose in the primary, ever since 2014ish when a ballot initiative was passed for candidates to get enough signatures to be put on the ballot. So the caucus primary nutcakes might oust you but if you get enough signatures you can still be placed on the ballot to be voted on in the primary.

They all voted for Romney also because he is "mormon" and "republican"

I'm convinced that 90% of the people in this country are stupid (or don't care) and don't know what they are voting for, no mater what side of the isle they are on.

We have a very uninformed electorate, and worse now, a misinformed electorate. That is a huge problem. Hence the rise of the demagogues. And it won't get better any time soon with social media so ingrained in the fabric of our society. It is very very concerning.

The amount of stupidity and bogus information people will post on platforms like tiktok to gain clout is mind numbing. Yet people just give their kids and teens smart phones and let them absorb all of it.

I don’t know what you’re talking about being misinformed. Today I read on Facebook that a bunch of Muslim and Jewish drag queens and kids who identify as kittens dropped off a ton of mail-in ballots with dead peoples’ names on them. They then burned down a white evangelical church and bought fentanyl from some illegal immigrants while burning the American flag. I’m so angry!

I have no twitter, no tick tock, no snap chat, no instagram, no tinder.... Facebook is all i have. And jazzfanz lol.
