Woj says the Jazz are listening to offers for Mitchell

We can grease palms of both teams to make it happen. Those are PREMIUM picks so if it costs Vando too then do it. He has a ton of value to cap conscious teams trying to win now imo. Kyrie/Vando/Bev may get them to part with those picks they are saying they won't put in... Bogey/Mike or JC to Nets instead of Westbrook.

It'd be wild to have 10 unprotected picks in the future... plus swaps.

Yup…so many ways we can grease this trade up. We can also sneak in a Beverley/JC for THT to sweeten things up. Maybe we should just do that anyways.

The best part about having all those picks is you can grow organically without having to pull shenanigans to make sure you are ****** for 4-5 years. You don't have to tank so hard because you have other stuff coming your way that could turn into stars. We'd definitely suck for a couple years but you don't have to worry as much about being caught in the middle if you win a little earlier than expected.

Going to be a crazy season coming up. I do wonder though, how is the team going to get people in seats if there isn't any player to cheer for? And with the All Star game coming to town. Is that game going to be the only sell out we have next season? Going to be interesting to say the least.

the latest rumors seem to have us focused on picks... so that's a good sign. Andy also said with the Heat they are still in it but they need help... said we kinda told them to see what picks they can get for their other guys. So Riley has to find them a deal for Herro/Lowry that nets us something we prefer.

I think we would want Herro. Ainge loved him pre-draft. If I remember correctly I thought it was they need to find picks for Lowry and Robinson which isn’t going to happen but it theoretically could I guess. We take back Herro, Jovic, salary filler and 5 1sts with 3 pick swaps. That is assuming they can get a 1st for both Lowry and Robinson.

Having your assets spread over time is also helpful so as to not be in a position where you have 6 picks every year and vanishing opportunities to actually develop them.

Except I am all about getting every 2023 pick possible and starting from scratch like rarely ever seen.

Are we going to get a season with Westbrook, Beverley and Simmons?

I'd still rather have unprotected picks from NY. They can give out their next 4 years in a row because they have picks in the off years from other teams.
Give us the unprotected, and hope they are still a bad team.

I'd rather have theirs than picks from any of the playoff teams.

We know how picks from 14-30 go for us. We don't need more of that. I know it's all a crap shoot, but the odds are higher that we get someone good with a high pick.
If we are picking in the teens and twenties from all this, I might lose interest and start following indoor soccer.

Yeah, so maybe not a super reputable thing I pushed, but the dude hasnt made a single comment on any of the Jazz moves and isnt showing up to SL to support the team. He's pretty clearly signaling he isnt invested in the Jazz.
Why would he after the organization told him they are doing what is best for the franchise.

I'm not a person who gives a **** about Donovan being super invested in SLC/Utah. I dont care if he doesnt live here in the off-season or spends next to no time in Utah in the off-season, but damn, show up for SL to support the young dudes ( I mean, you know the dude loves Vegas, he made Utah have the first half of their training camp there last year), make some positive public comments on the new coaching hire, etc. The very basic things that nearly ever star does for their team.
I didn't know it was DM job to be the PR person for the Jazz. Why go to SL if the Jazz are going to trade him as they have publicly said they are open to doing so?

Sure, which I understand, but if training camp starts and he is still on the team, the media silence is a pretty bad look from a professionalism standpoint.
How is silence unprofessional? I would think complaining to the media would be. He asked the organization what the direction of the team was headed. The Jazz said what they are doing is best for the organization. Seems to me that if that is the case then why talk to the team. Wait until they make a decision and then deal with it professionally.
