What's new

Yesterday - Bundy Ranch

The intel is quite incredible. I spoke with Clive's sister and his son last night. They told me that they had gotten a call that a certain (unnamed here) guy leading a militia was on his way with his group to show support. The tip they got gave the name and that he's an FBI informant. The plan was to infiltrate and cause dissension among the group and try to show a greater element of craziness at the ranch (it's very mellow and subdued there). The Bundy's got word to the 'group' that they were not welcome at the ranch and that the militia on site would see that they get turned away if they show up.

Seems to be a common tactic of theirs. They do that at G-20 protests, Occupy Wall Street, Union events, etc. Hell, I think the news that race pimp Al Sharpton was outed as a FBI informant a few weeks ago was the least surprising thing I've ever heard. Half the people that cause division between people publicly in this country are probably on the FBI payroll.

And even if they get caught in any scenario......mission accomplished. The Bundys probably are a bit paranoid now at anybody new showing up. Who knows, maybe the "tip" was the whole operation. How are the Bundys supposed to confirm the fact that the guy was really FBI? Maybe it was a militia that the government really felt threatened by so that was how they stopped them from showing up.

cliffs on this whole scenario? i haven't paid attention to the news in a month.

- Dude hasn't payed grazing fees in 20 years, feds say that if he doesn't pay, they'll take his cattle.
- Dude still doesn't pay, feds decide to take his cattle.
- Feds come in heavy, snipers, helicopters, etc etc, they were basically idiots.
- Crazy militia people find out, they come over to lend "support".
- We're wasting federal and civilian money on a case that is stupid as hell.

Question:

Don't these militia people have jobs? Like...how in the hell are they taking so much time off of work to go do this crap?

It could be a number of reasons. Private pensions, self employed, diability or VA benefits, already wealthy, deadbeats, family/friends support while they are away...

I disagree completely. I think that it's vital to maintaining a nation of liberty. I don't want the people completely slave to the government, but it is getting closer to that state daily.

I feel more free and secure as ever, and see democracy as becoming more deeply engrained into society on a world wide basis. Can someone explain the thinking behind this? It's cliche.

It's pretty free from a social aspect, although the whole NSA thing and patriot act stuff isn't that cool for me. Most of my concerns are economically where an industry of rent seeking does nothing but reallocate existing resources. I view freedom as being able to use my money as I please, while the government dictates how a lot of it is spent.

But I'm not going to say my way is more right than anyone else's because as individuals we each have out own ideal state. I would just like mine to be even more free and tons more economically efficient.

I just don't care for a large government, and if one examines the growth of our government over time I'm going to guess that it's nowhere near proportionate to population growth and real GDP

Babe would be the dude to ask about this tbh
