Well, he would be for at least 3 years, because that contract wouldn't be going anywhere.I would have trouble rooting for CP3, but he'd be amazing with Donovan. He's also one of the last NBA stars I could see living in Utah.

**** no. And I'm one of the few cp3 fans on this site. (I have always been a fan since his college days and was pissed we took d-will)
Favors+Exum for CP3... take it or leave it?

...and J.R. Smith!Perhaps we can sign Carmello.
How's Dinwiddie's D?.
Great D. Rock solid. Long. Really pound you hard.
So another name I heard thrown around that we haven't discussed at length... Bobby Portis. He is restricted but an offer that starts around 11-13M and declines by 5% averages out to 4/40-46... and it would cause luxury tax concerns once they retain Sato and Bryant.
He's a solid/good offensive player... the on/off stuff plus his volume an decent efficiency seems to indicate that. He can play some 5 (but you likely get lit up with him there). He is pretty damn bad on defense, but I wonder if 1- Could Rudy offset his terribleness 2- Could he improve... not like he was playing with other good defenders.
Anyway an interesting down the line option... I think I might rather go after Parker on a more team friendly deal but wanted to see if any of you jokers had thoughts on him.
I also think Niko's value has taken a tumble to the point where he could be had in the 12-15M range (I would have pegged him at 15-20M prior to getting benched) and be a decent value at that number.
I'd take Parker over Portis. Here's a big one: I'd lean Parker over Niko, due mostly to more offensive versatility, but also because I know there's no way the FO goes Niko > Favors. So another name I heard thrown around that we haven't discussed at length... I want Conley + Jabari. Or Conley + Niko.Honestly these are all good ideas if we strike out on the bigger names. I'd probably want Jabari the most, but trading for Conley and getting one of these guys is a pretty damn good offseason.
