What's new

You're the GM this offseason. What do you do?

Winslow is a very good, versatile player. With Conley and Donovan, we don't need a backup PG/SG as we do a PF with the handling, passing, shooting and defending that Winslow can provide.

And yes, Favors is better than Oylynk, but I think Olynyk would fit very, very well. He's like a poor man's Favors on defense, same rebounding but with a 3 point shot.
So what you're going to play Conley and Donovan 48 mins a game

Shams is reporting Favors will take calls from teams once free agency opens, operating as if he were one. Tony and everyone else are saying it's a smart move to know your options, but there's a little bit of smoke to this. The Jazz have probably hinted at or outright told him they're keeping THEIR options open. Like the Rubio deal. Let him know the truth.

This has been the prevailing assumption in the media for the past week: that the Jazz are keeping their options open, prepared to either keep him or move on if they find something they like better. So I don't really see this as news, other than to just confirm that they haven't told Favors something different from what the media is reporting. I don't think this report should change anyone's mind about the likelihood that he will either move or stay.

It's not news that Favors and his agent are going to explore other options. Of course they are. It would be foolish not too because they don't know how the free agency period will play out.

It doesn't indicate that Favors is going or staying. It just indicates both Favors and the Jazz are keeping all options open. As 10000% expected.

What it does indicate is that the Jazz have given the ok.

There's no reason why they wouldn't. They have a good relationship with him. The Jazz have him here if they choose. And if they decide to go in a different direction they want to do right by him.
