They're all expiring if they wanted to start over but Exum and they get out of his contract with picksYou really think Jae, Favors and Exum with some picks gets us Blake?? What GM told you this?

Last season at the trade deadline we had Favors, Jerebko, Udoh and Sefelosha all on expiring contracts, this season we had Favors, Rubio, Sefelosha and Udoh and we failed to get anything done both times. I'm not at all optimistic about re-signing Rubio to a 1+1 and trading him and Favors at next years deadline. DL just doesn't seem to be able to get a big deal done using expiring contracts.
The team just had 50 win season, but lacks legit scorers. I'd keep the team in tact but try to add a 20 ppg scorer for scrubs,
For instance: Exum, Allen , Bradley, this years draft pick plus Korver to a 3rd team for Kevin Love.
Rubio/Mitchell/Neto
Mitchell/O'Neale
Ingles/Crowder
Love/Crowder/Niang
Gobert/Favors
Trying to demolish a 50 win team that's not old and injured is dumb overreaction.
Expecting to add grade A max FA is a delusion
Playing 30+ mil to players like Middleton, Harris or Russell is too risky and they are not proven enough.
Don, Rudy and Ingles are untouchable. That's been very clear and for good reason.
If Ingles was our 4th or 5th best offensive option, he wouldn't be the issue he seems to be right now. If we had a PG and PF who could consistently score and shoot, Ingles would be a nightmare spotting up.Ingles should not be untouchable based on basketball reasons.
As good as Blake is, he cannot stay healthy. We have 2 games left in the season and (in my opinion) we need a big blow up. Rudy will be 27 next season and we really need to maximize him before he 'may' want to leave.
So, what do you do?
Claim "our chemistry is really solid and we need another year to get healthy." Sign a 35+ year old vet, a g-leaguer, and a draft pick to call it a season?
Do you shoot for the stars and throw contracts out there for Kemba, Tobias, etc and hopefully land one?
Let's hear it.
I'd go for Kemba and open up the market to literally everyone on our team signed the following season not named donovan or rudy.
I'd call the pistons and offer favors, jae or ingles, exum, Allen, and this years pick and next years pick for Blake (should get it done). Probably sign neto again, get another backup on the cheap and fill in the rest with some shooters.
Kemba
Donovan
Ingles/jae
Blake
Rudy
That's a great starting lineup with still royce, neto, korver coming off the bench. We can create, Blake Kemba can score, gives us great spacing
But you would pay it to an aging (and oft injured) Kevin Love cause he has 'proven' it?
I find it strange that you were floating a "trade Gobert" narrative a day ago yet somehow Ingles and O'Neale are untouchables in your mind.If Ingles was our 4th or 5th best offensive option, he wouldn't be the issue he seems to be right now. I consider Joe untouchable along with Mitchell and O'Neale. Gobert is right up there too, but I would consider a trade if somebody blew us away with an offer.

Love can still play but getting him will cost us Favors, Rubio, Exum AND maybe a pick. That simply is not worth it.If I can get him while shipping out Dedex contract and while keeping the core 7 players from 50 win team, yes I take on Love who's got a lot of basketball ability in him. I believe his style will blend in the system without disrupting anything and enhancing whatever is in place.
O'Neale and Mitchell are very close. Also, O'Neale is a very good player for his contract. He can play SG, SF, and PF too.I find it strange that you were floating a "trade Gobert" narrative a day ago yet somehow Ingles and O'Neale are untouchables in your mind.
Love wouldn’t cost you Rubio because you could send Favors and Exum and retain Rubio’s bird rights.Love can still play but getting him will cost us Favors, Rubio, Exum AND maybe a pick. That simply is not worth it.
If we want an offensive minded PF who is suspect on defense, we should just sign Jabari Parker. We could sign Parker while keeping Favors, Exum AND our picks.

O'Neale and Mitchell are not very close from a trade value standpoint and if you seriously think that the organisation should consider O'Neale closer to Mitchell's untouchable status than Gobert then you're severely undervaluing Gobert. There's no way in hell a young role player on a nice contract with potential but hasn't shown All Star level talent like Mitchell or an older glue guy coming off a down year should be considered more valuable/untouchable than a DPOTY C, and your reasoning only speaks further to why Gobert should be considered more untouchable than O'Neale or Ingles in the first place but you're ignoring that because of Favors.O'Neale and Mitchell are very close. Ingles is a cohesion guy. Sure he might struggle in some playoff matchups, but overall he is a fantastic value on his declining deal.
Ingles isn't going to get us some massive roster changing trade. Gobert might. If we lost Gobert for a great wing or PG, I am fine going with Favors as our starting C. Favors is a step down, but we desperatel need another great player who can score the ball.

True. I guess we could find a way to keep Rubio to go with Love. So a trade for Love would likely be:Love wouldn’t cost you Rubio because you could send Favors and Exum and retain Rubio’s bird rights.
