Zach Lowe's All-Star Picks

I have no idea why a Jazz fan would want Rudy or DM to make the all star team. At least until their contract year. I want them to feel jilted as hell. I want Rudy, especially, to be a nasty, pissed off, bad *** mutha ****er that wants revenge every single night.

I think the notion that it's good to deny players their well deserved accolades and recognition so that they play with a chip on their shoulder is WAY WAY WAY off the mark.

Especially for our players on this small market team, we need to fight for them to get the recognition they deserve. In many cases recognition, awards, accolades, etc. converts directly into money in their pocket that doesn't necessarily come out of the team's budget. It also shows them that they can live their NBA dream right here and don't need to run to LA or NYC or Boston or Chicago to get the full "I'm an NBA star" life.

If these guys need All Star snubs to motivate them there is something wrong.

The reason I don't want them to play in the ASG is because I don't want any chance of them getting injured in a game that doesn't help the Jazz get to the championships.

thank you, holy **** @infection!!!! It’s not that hard.
And I believe the original poster was saying that the East is so depleted of talent that he’d get voted in as a starter. Caruso got votes because he’s an LA meme. To say Donovan could be a starter in the East is not an exaggeration, and “Utah not getting respect” is absolutely irrelevant in that scenario.

They might think they will never get the accolades in Utah and want to head elsewhere

Maybe neto would bet more votes than Donovan cause Philly is a big city. Or whatever guards are in New York would get voted in over Donovan. **** like that.

Btw I could totally see the West finishing with Doncic-Harden-Lebron-Davis-Gobert, going massively big.

I just don’t think Kawhi gives a **** about the game and wants to manage his load.

Not a ****ing clue. Do your due diligence and get back to me.
Grumble grumble makin' me work...

Huh. In 2009, Shaq and Kobe were co-MVPs. However, this was during the one season Shaq played for Phoenix. So, probably a lifetime achievement award? Anyway, Shaq was a reserve.

Before that, it was Glen Rice in 1997, I think. I kind of forgot what I was looking for for a bit there...

Oh, wait. Westbrook was a reserve in 2015. So, it looks like maybe about once every 5 years.

Steve Kerr had a rough night vs Utah the other night:

Last year he had publicly explained why he didn't vote for Gobert to the ASG, perhaps he'll change his mind this time
