What's new

The Jazz need new commentary duo

Our commentators on both TV and radio are better than most in the league - a lot better.

This is true, but it could be so much better.

Just because almost every other team's broadcasters are total horse **** doesn't mean we should tolerate it for ours.

Do you guys hear the weird commentary they assign to Top 10 compilations nowadays? It is weird as heck. Is this a new trend or something?

I post, therefore I am.

What bothers me most about Bolerjack is that it doesn't feel like he loves the game. He has an announcers voice, and when you listen to him talk about football he gets excited, but when it is basketball he just goes over the material that is printed out and handed to him. He does not come across as a fan. He often comes across as that guy in the office who watches one or two games a year and spits out the opinion and insight of a highlight reel.

Compare him to Coach Gordon Chiesa who I could listen talk for hours because he is so in love with basketball.

Not sure about that. I try to pick the opposing team's feed on League Pass. Thus far, I'm liking almost all announcers better than Utah's. I don't think Boler even cares about a game being played.

haven't laughed this hard on JFC in months.

Bolerjack has gotten so bad that I've listened to the last few games on mute off and on. How can someone continuously come up with the kind of crap that guy does?

"Windmill dunk". Uhh, no Craig, that is a dunk.
"Hit an easy one". Uhh, no Craig, that was a contested three from nearly 40 feet.
"Exum on a give and go". Uhh, no Craig, Exum never passed the ball.

The Washington game was so full of stupid that I'm surprised this guy still has a job after that game alone. I hope he had extreme jet lag and was hung over.

"skip pass"

Bingo, I feel no real love for the Jazz or even the NBA in general from Boler. Add in his laziness and incompetence and it's just pure trash.

Boler is super pro. I'm backing him 100%. I like Harpring too and I love Boone. Boler was sick earlier this year but when he's healthy he calls a mean game. Be careful what you wish for.

lol. He is not a "super pro".... he frequently displays incredible holes in basketball knowledge.

Funny to know that you'd give him a hummer, doe.

I love coming across your posts so much man. Just in the moment that I feel like I am the only one who thinks in a certain way about a certain topic and feel like a weird person, I read one of your posts and feel relieved. Good to have you around my man and God this Magic Keyboard feels fantastic!

The love is shared.

Bolerjack and Harpring are nothing more than a bunch of filler with a little commentary thrown into the mix. They remind me of those old jr. high papers you'd write where you had to hit some mark like 1000 words so you'd throw in a bunch of extra junk so the teacher would pass you off. Or when you'd change the font size slightly to 12.2 and the sentence spacing to 1.13 to stretch 9.75 pages into 10.

Harpring and Bollerjack are worse than that. They are a couple of jr. high kids that need to repeat a laundry list of phrases to fill five pages of garbage up to ten pages. The amount of filler they throw in to counter Bollerjack's p-b-p silence combined with his constant errors and lack of knowledge makes them one of the worst commentator duo in the NBA.

I cannot think of a single thing they do that is exceptional outside of throwing in sponsorship plugs after a dunk or a three.

I tried watching the Wizards feed when LP was free on Directv. Harpring tries wayyyyy to hard to be impartial, so much so that he comes across as more of a fan of the other team. Locke is an unabashed homer but Harpring is just ****. Jazz need something in the middle.

I prefer to listen Boone.

The Boler-Harpring duo is beginning to be monotonous.
