What happens to the team if he leaves? I hadn't really thought about that until now.

We go back to being a mediocre franchise - except with less talent. Won't be much different than 2011-2016, except we won't be waiting for a Hayward-like player to pay off.

With the unbelievably lopsided conferences, the existence of the best roster ever assembled, and half the league in the LT for a couple of years, there would be no better time to go full rebuild if Hayward bolts.

I hope Hayward stays and the Jazz can pull off a (nother) coup on the market.

Almost no way to go full rebuild with the talent already under contract and the fact that a couple of other teams are well on their way toward that reality.
