It's a bad movie that's in on the joke. Highly recommend for viewing over seven jack and cokes and with some likewise-minded friends.

LOL, funny that you talk about this movie cause last night me and my girlfriend walked into her uncle watching it.... it was exactly at the part where 2 people were banging each other in a hotel. We both looked like this ?????????????????????

Holy ****. I wanted to kill myself. ****ing awful.
Amazing cinematography. I'd be shocked if it wasn't up for an Oscar for it and I could very well see it winning but Jesus Malick rambles and the movie was his worst in that regard yet. BY FAR. Honestly, it took him the first 30 minutes to achieve what it took Kubrick <10 in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Just ****ing brutal.
Brad Pitt reminded me of my dad growing up. A dick.
I haven't seen Tree of Life but I'm shocked at this description of 2001 as being somehow briskly paced.

I watched this. I was entertained. It was a terrible movie, it was weird and disturbing. I would not recommend it and I would not watch it again. But I was entertained.

Ouch. That's due to fall below 6.0 over the next six months to year as over time, that's the trend typically. Some friends of my gf's whose four year old LOVED the first one wanted to leave 15 minutes into this one. I'd pass if I were you.
Just got back from it. We splurged and overpaid for 3D. Not only did I waste my money on that, I wasted my time with the movie and I really enjoyed the first. They seemed to focus more on the "sets" and very little on the script. Too bad.
