Grayson Allen 2nd Season

And Grayson played 416 minutes. Most of the time in stints that hardly allow for finding any rhythm. So no, there’s no real point in going by the numbers.

He also played four full seasons at Duke, which resulted in this projection for his NBA future:

Personally, I don't think he looked that bad out there, but the numbers really hate him. It is not a good sign.

Interesting coincidence --
CJ Miles most points scored in an NBA game: 40.
Grayson Allen most points scored in an NBA game: 40.

It's deja vu all over again!
Didn’t Mitchell put up a 40 pt game in his rookie year too? Did Miles do it in his rookie year, no.

Guess who also played 4 years with it taking a few years to show potential, two of the best pg’s to play the game in Stockton and Nash. I’m sure you called them busts after their first few years. Lol

This again. Allen put up a 7.5 PER his rookie season. Here is a list of every single rookie season between 7.0 and 8.0 PER. 226 players and the only non-busts here are Draymond and Zach Collins? Maybe you can find some more in there, I got tired of looking.

Hmmm. This is a very relevant view of the situation. 226 players on that list... PER is reasonable measure of nba productivity... and rust bucket pretty accurately picked out the samples that moved above this tier of player. Not a good indicator for Allen’s trajectory. But it also doesn’t guarantee Allen’s trajectory either.

Good find, Rustbucket.
