The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

You don’t think that scenario would indicate that the electoral system is highly flawed?
And what other way than not voting you think could be the solution, hoping for the very same people that benefit from it to change it? Good luck.
I know the electoral system is highly flawed, my voting for Biden isn't going to change that. It's not like a Biden/Trump election is a referendum on our flawed two party system. Opting out completely isn't going to change things, most Americans don't vote which only compounds the problem imo.

Anyway, I'm hardly a Biden fan, I'm not supporting him in the primary. I think our best chance to fundamentally change our electoral system is to do away with the electoral college, so I'll support candidates who favor that. If one of those candidates doesn't get the nomination then I'll still pull the lever for whoever does, and hope for a Trump defeat.

Here comes the voice of reason...

Compared to your nonsensical rantings? Absolutely.

Even when I can even understand your English, I barely detect an informed and coherent argument. Honestly, your posts seem to be an incoherent collection of arguments you’ve read from libertarian and far right message boards about things you have a surface level understanding of.

@Jazzta just to add to this a little, Biden winning the nomination would mean that Democrat voters prefer a moderate Democrat over a more progressive one. Disappointing to be sure, but not quite the indictment of our electoral system you think it is. To be honest I'm not sure what exactly you mean by that anyway.

What system isn’t flawed? If you go with a parliamentary system, you now have to deal with multiple small parties and all the problems associated with that. No system is perfect. But the world’s longest standing democracy has been kept free from Fascism and Communism in part because of its strong two party system.

The parties are weaker today primarily because of communications, campaign finance (or the lack thereof), and globalization. In previous ages, the GOP would’ve killed the Trump campaign in its infancy. However, because of communications (twitter and Facebook) and dark money (Mercers), his campaign was able to essentially wag the dog (the party).

Want to make parties stronger? Let’s redo citizens united, shorten the primary season, and regulate Facebook’s fake news.

or we can continue to copy and paste incoherent rantings (like @Jazzta) and promote non-solutions to the wrong problems of our system; like electing Tulsi or re-electing Trump.

Though he’s from Spain, I’ve never sensed Jazzta as anything other than a fluent English speaker. This is an unusual comment.

That's amazing. I’ve graded some poorly written things before, yet I rarely understand what he’s pissed off about. Just read his posts from the past two pages. What exactly is he angry about? And how have his responses to @Zombie and myself been helpful?

Stop bringing up my English you ****, it’s not my first language.

Here’s a tip, don’t whine about posters pointing out your language flaws while insulting such posters. @Jazzta you demand respect and patience yet was any given to me in post 5845? How does post 5841 help anyone understand what you’re upset about? Was it clarifying to respond to @Zombie in such a way? Was it respectful to his response?

It’s becoming such a bore to enter these threads and see the same posters ranting about the same things yet demanding answers (and respect) from others. It’s just a troll job for so many. Trump is so guilty that none of his fans on here are even trying to defend him. It’s why I keep so many blocked and why I really try and ignore incoherent and rantings from @Jazzta

Again, there are actual concrete ways to strengthen America’s democracy. Electing Gabbard or re-electing Trump isn’t it. If electing Trump in 2016 didn’t strengthen our institutions, why would giving him 4 more years to the trick?

For those who aren’t sure if Trump is weakening our institutions, please step out of your cave and look and how he’s corrupted our State Dept and DOJ.

Let’s not overreact here, American democracy is threatened by Trump and needs to be strengthened by certain reforms. But the entire system doesn’t need to be blown up. The cynicism one reads on libertarian and far right/left message boards these is astounding.

I’m not sure what connection this has to his English.

@Zombie What’s the “electoral system?”

Is that the electoral college? Or how we choose candidates? Or how long the primary season is? Or campaign finance? Or how parties choose candidates?

How does voting to re-elect Trump do anything to fix the “electoral system” and everything that it entails above?

It's that thing that Ocasio Cortez is clueless about and rants how it's racists.

Electoral system. Lmao

"Such a bore," he says all the while he gets off to posting in this thread and responding to these boring posters.
