Coronavirus

I don't disagree. But when I state a fact, that infections in the U.S. essentially have nothing to do with Trump, Thriller responds like I'm kicking puppies.

Trump wasn't responsible for the increases in the stock market, he's not responsible for the downturn that was inevitable anyway. He wouldn't have been responsible if this has been SARS or Zika or whatever else that didn't affect the U.S. mush even though it had a scarry run in other places, and he isn't responsible for covid 19. Trump is irrelevant in all those situations, which leaves us with the ability to evaluate Trump for what he is. Not for what is happening around him regardless. And what Trump is... he's an incompetent executive for the U.S.. He's a jackass. He's the least capable Commander-in-Chief in my lifetime. He is a complete failure as President of the United States. Isn't that enough? Do I have to blame him for covid 19 too?

We can't blame Covid 19 on Trump. No one is. Maybe that's where you're confused?

We absolutely can blame our terrible response to it on him.

I think leadership matters. I know the CDC has had major funding cut under *******’s watch. I have to wonder if that funding hadn’t been cut, how much better they’d be able to respond to this. How many more employees they’d have to administer tests. How many more kits they’d have and be able to distribute to healthcare facilities. Like that.

That said, a lot of what GF said is true too. There’s no stopping a virus. The best hope is to identify carriers as quickly as possible, quarantine them, and by doing so, cut it off at the head.

I have to wonder with the aforementioned lack of resources and urgency how much better we as a system could’ve prevented cases and such.

I have.

I'm putting you on ignore for a day or two. We aren't having a productive conversation. Not blaming you, just saying there's no point in this back and forth right now.

Nah, don't blame him for this virus. But feel free to blame him for the stock market dropping since he wants to take credit for it when it's good.

I mean check this out. Trump thinks the president of US should be to blame when the stock market crashes so go ahead and blame him imo.

You're right it, it hasn't. I believe it stems from this misconception you have that people are blaming Trump for the virus. No one here believes he created this virus as an attempt to be re-elected.

What he did was make this infection far worse by crippling the CDC and bragging about containment for weeks instead of getting our country ready for it. Even today, he's spreading disinformation about it. All because he's worried about how this will affect his re-election.

And why shouldn't he take at least some of the blame for the stock market? He took credit for it when it was good. Why does he get to treat the stock market like his wives and porn stars?

Has any other country cut this off at the head, though? It's out there, the cat is out of the bag, the genie is out of the bottle, the toothpaste is out of the tube. This infection is going to spread. The countries with the best outcomes have not been the ones attempting to contain this virus, they have been the ones trying to best care for the people who have this virus. So our strategy is not currently the right one, but it's the one Thriller is advocating for. Good thing he's not the ****ing POTUS, right?

This thing is going to spread. Identifying the infected matters, I don't disagree at all. We have failed. I'm not sure how much better we would have done if that would have been a priority. Maybe a lot, maybe some, probably more than a little. We have failed in that regard. Trump has been an obstacle to any effort to identify how many are actually infected.

Is the goal here for Thriller to score points on Trump and I'm pissing on his party? That's what his responses have felt like. I don't care about his little party. Despite what the pro-Trumpers here think about me, I hate Trump, I hate him with a white hot burning passion, but I hate him for who he is and what he does. I don't need to make up reasons that I think will convince them I've been right all along. If they don't have a problem with Trump already I'm done trying to convince them that decency is good. They can enjoy their reality as long as the illusion can be sustained. Spoiler alert, it can't last long. When it ends it ends, and blaming covid 19 on Trump is not how that happens. If covid 19 kills several thousand people, hundreds of thousands of people in the U.S., that will happen with or without Triller's blame game. Sooner or later people will see that the emperor has no clothes. We don't gain anything by drawing pictures for these people of Trump naked handing covid 19 a bottle of lube so that it can **** him in the ***. They are going to need to see it first hand.

What I'm advocating for? Nothing I'm advocating for is original. I'm not a medical professional. What I'm advocating for is what I've read leading health officials from our country and from the WHO have advocated for.

And no matter how many times you state this, no one here is blaming this disease on Trump. We are blaming him for our country's response to it.

You're right, this conversation hasn't been productive at all. It's literally like talking to the wall. You picked one thing out of one of my posts yesterday/earlier today and seem fixated on it no matter how many times it's been addressed.

Was it the #winning post?

Seems like it was. Come on. Sorry for that joke making you think I was blaming the disease on Trump.

I’m seriously out of control. I hit refresh every 10 minutes on my phone praying to see “27 new coronavirus cases in New Jersey!”

This won’t affect how this disease is contained and treated? This isn’t contributing to our economic free fall?

Okay can we all just settle the **** down and pray for Wes that his district shuts down? Paid of course.
You don't even know how much I'd love it if my workplace had an extended shutdown for this. **** when Fish said he thought he might have it I did a little fist bump.
