Damn I want in on some of that sweet ANTIFA stock! Can I purchase it through the Robinhood app? From what I hear they are everywhere, around every corner, behind every public disturbance, responsible for pretty much every act of vandalism and make one hell of a mean milkshake. With market share like that this thing is going to the moon!Anderson Cooper bought stock in ANTIFA because everyone's a secret muslim.
Robinhood, no surprise, is restricting it right now, funneling money instead to the jewish laser project through the Soros account. Sorry.Damn I want in on some of that sweet ANTIFA stock! Great post. You'd have better luck winning Powerball than finding 17 R senators who are going to vote to impeach. The majority don't even think it's constitutional so even if they believe he incited it, they won't vote to acquit. The cake is baked and example #1,463 of how spineless these folks are.
My guess would be that the final vote ends up around 54-46 - I think Romney, Sasse, Murkowski and Toomey vote to impeach. Collins will chicken out like she always does.
It honestly doesn't matter - Donald isn't going to run in 2024. Donny Jr. is going to be his puppet to continue his father's reign of douchiness.
What's crazy is if they would have delayed evacuating the chamber by 2-3 minutes, it's likely that we would have had a few politicians beaten or killed. Not everyone, but a few would have been caught in the quagmire. And if that would have happened, I think the outcome of this trial would be vastly different. But the lives of civilians and police officers unfortunately get treated different.

That's a good point that I hadn't thought ofAs a side note, the fact that the ‘jury’ (senators) can meet with the prosecution/defense extensively before the trial is lunacy.
Imagine a murder trial where three of the jurors coordinate with the prosecutor how they’re going to convince their peers to fry this dude regardless of how the case actually goes and pretend to show interest. We’d talk about an abandonment of justice and how a fair trial is a mirage.
Welcome to politics - check your human decency and decorum at the door.
I don't think the plan was to necessarily storm the capitol, take hostages and lives, but rather ratchet up so much tension that R senators and Pence gave in. Doubt anyone in the Trump camp thought hanging and murdering politicians was going to be a winning play.I just read an article that shows that plans were made for the Insurrection the night before. This is really explosive. The author, Greg Palast, said this was shared with the House prosecution team but they never used it:

I wonder how the vote would go if it was a secret vote. Too bad they will vote their ambition instead of their conscience.

I doubt it, but I hope you are correct. The guy instigated a deadly attack on our Congress and they still don't have the balls to do what's right. They are done. Cruz, Graham, et. al are underestimating how livid most of their base are. They'll lose huge in the next election as decent Republicans vote their conscience.
I don't think the Trump group had a plan. They did not plan on hanging anyone and storming the capitol as it happened. But they sure as **** didn't fall over themselves trying to stop it either once they got the ball rolling. Trump sat there watching it on TV and just let it roll.I don't think the plan was to necessarily storm the capitol, take hostages and lives, but rather ratchet up so much tension that R senators and Pence gave in. However, you can't drum up support from thousands and thousands of kooks without finding a good chunk of them with their own agendas who really believe this is the end times.
Not exactly hard to find flat-earthers, people who believe cats are secretly Antifa and every Youtube video view is another virgin sacrificed to George Soros.
Schumer can push covid relief in reconciliation. But DC and PR statehood will require blowing the filibuster.I am thankful that this sham trial (not sham on evidence mind you, sham on it actually mattering) will wrap up quickly and we can move forward with actually getting things done.
If I'm Schumer, I'm pushing DC and PR statehood as priorities right away alongside any Covid relief. PR senate seats are not a slam dunk for D's and you can be the filibuster will be turned off for those votes (though PR statehood actually does have a bit of R support from both Florida senators).
DC should be part of virginia or maryland. PR should just be part of like florida or a carolina or something.I am thankful that this sham trial (not sham on evidence mind you, sham on it actually mattering) will wrap up quickly and we can move forward with actually getting things done.

Using this logic, do we need two Dakotas and two Carolinas to give Republicans more power? Cant wyoming be combined with Montana and Oklahoma into Texas? Why should Democratic voices be weakened while insurrections’ strengthened?DC should be part of virginia or maryland. PR should just be part of like florida or a carolina or something.
