I didn't clarify but I was actually thinking about Don's longer wingspan. I thought it would help him more with his defense early on but noticed that it really helped him out a lot with his finishing. That extra length has really made a difference in finishing around people. I've always liked watching him lay it in past people and seeing the surprise in their eyes when they thought they had him.

I mean you kind of are getting into that discussion when you point to Curry as how a shorter player can still lift his team to amazing heights, because the dramatic gap in talent is the reason why.

He can’t defend, but he gives effort. In like a lot of players.
Curry is a very good defender. Another example of LoPoo stepping in it.
Mitchell gives effort, just not with any consistency, in fact I dare say he’s a better defender when he tries, he’s borderline elite from what I’ve seen when he gives effort. He just doesn’t give a lot of effort.
No he’s not, not even close to a decent defender the only reason he’s a better defender is he consistently gives effort. If Mitchell gave as much effort he’d clearly be the much better defender.
Curry is definitely a solid defender.
I think Curry is a solid defender. Not good, not great, not bad. His teammates really help him. He gets to play with 4 or 5 really good perimeter defenders.
I think he has shown the ability to be a solid defender. Nothing special. Just like Curry is nothing special on defense.
