They were 29th in 3p% last year. They instantly got better for some used magic beans.Kinda weird deal for Detroit too… but does make more sense for them than us.

Just thought this exact same thing.
I guarantee they end up flipping him for a future 1st at some point.Kinda weird deal for Detroit too… but does make more sense for them than us.
This. There’s got to be a pick in there
I hope they flip him for a 1st to the lakers so I can watch JFC melt downI guarantee they end up flipping him for a future 1st at some point.
Maybe that (and this) is just what I need to unplug from this stupid horse-****. Has really ****ed up the last 4 months for me.I hope they flip him for a 1st to the lakers so I can watch JFC melt down

So this was just purely a salary dump...Bogey must be pissed lol I mean at least trade him to a contender. JZ gloated about all our veterans and how much they mean to the Jazz and how they put Rudy and Don in a position to WIN then they turn around and screw Bogey!?!?
They will. This is all the hallmarks of one of those Utah Jazz Specials that keeps on laughing in our face.I hope they flip him for a 1st to the lakers so I can watch JFC melt down

Olynyk is only 3M guaranteed next year. Lee looks like a waive candidate. We saved 4.9M.
I’m going to be positive and say we are making more room to take on Westbrook and save the Lakers money in the deal.
I mean value wise... fo sure... just a weird fit. Maybe they try to be more competitive this year. Watch them flip him at the deadline for a first. Its just weird all the way around.I mean, getting one of the best shooters in the league for literally jack **** is something you gotta jump on. Makes a ton of sense for Detroit.
God, this makes zero damn sense.
Nah… only angle this makes sense from is Smith is using this as an ATM.Ya im not usually one to be overly critical of management and i feel that ainge has been killing it all summer but this trade just stinks from every angle that i view it.
Like another poster said, maybe JZ snuck into work early and made this trade. This doesnt seem like a DA trade.
