Former Jazz players around the league

Bittersweet for sure. I would love Joe on this team. He's exactly the kind of player we need. Provide stability and that vet presence and a little smart *** edge we are missing.
Oh Hell yeah! I’m not pointing fingers though cause at the time with his age and injury a lot was in question. Just happy that we were able to get NAW.out of the deal!

Remember Saben Lee from camp? Came over as part of the Bogey deal and had a couple of really impressive dunks in preseason as I recall. Most thought he’d just fall into GLeague oblivion after he got cut, but not the case at all. Been getting some good minutes in Phoenix with Booker out. He had 15 pts with 5 dimes in 29:30 last night in a win over the Nets. (Two unrelated guards named Lee in Phoenix now to keep the announcers on their toes.)

Actually he got 6 dimes and 3 of them were very good ones while 2 were more about happening to be the last guy touching the ball.

I get it why we cut him though. Beasley, Sexton, NAW and THT in rotation behind Conley and Clarkson and Ochai and Bolmaro (both younger than Lee) waiting for a chance.... Kind of a logjam of young guard behind the vet starters.

He may have set a record for the number of teams played for in six months: Pistons, Jazz, Suns twice, Raptors, Sixers and two GLeague teams.

Yeah, I saw some real playmaking ability while he was in camp and was hoping against hope that he could stay on with us. But as you say, we had a surfeit of guards and his contract was easiest to burn.

Thinking back over the last 10 years, the Jazz pinned their hope on the youth of their time back then and we ended up seeing the the following guys pass through,.

Donovan Mitchell
Rudy Gobert
Royce O Neale
Gordon Hayward
Alec Burks
Trey Lyles
Enes Kanter
Rodney Hood
Derrick Favors
Trey Burke
Dante Exum

Seems to me that overall, apart from Donovan, most of the others peaked during their time with the Jazz (albeit sone only due to injury striking unfortunately after leaving the Jazz). I'm by no means religious in any way, shape or form, but beyond Don and Royce (and putting aside Rudy for the time being), it's interesting to note that most when on a downhill trajectory not long after moving on.

I think it's a testament to Quin Snyder, he made a lot of guys look better than they were.
