For the 1000000th time, if they really wanted to tank, they would have sold off Clarkson/KO for 2nd round picks. Winning isnt the priority, but they havent prioritized losing either.

It’s nice to have a solid foundation to start with, at least. Even if we’re picking late lottery, there will be good players available. Just need to pick one. A talented rookie (or three) will be coming into a great situation.
 
I think the best evidence that tanking is primarily about losing is that those who most identify with "team tank" are generally obsessed with the Jazz throwing away their best opportunity this year by winning too much. If tanking, in the common vernacular, was just a synonym for rebuilding, we wouldn't see so many people so anxious about the Jazz not losing enough.

I think the most likely outcome is that Lauri is our star and that will be drafting to fill out the roster and we will trade for another star when one becomes available.

I'd rather be in the position of having one of those in the hand than waiting for the ping pong balls to maybe give me a shot at a dude who could be my FIRST all star.

There really isn't much to whine about right now as a Jazz fan.

This. I was whining plenty early in the season when Kessler wasn't playing enough and Ochai was riding pine. Now there is nothing left to complain about.

Tbh if I'm a tanker I'm worried about Blazers.. and Thunder has this schedule up next:

We play SA twice while they play PHX, SACx2, LAL within a week before playing us again. There could be 4 games between us and them a week from now.

Nurkic and Simons both have actual injuries... Grant and Dame being too tired because of the flight delay is soooooo weak though. Coming off the AS break and having 2 days between games. Kobe would have cleared the runway and de-iced the plane himself. Soft.
 
I think what may sink the tank is that we aren't a great matchup for OKC. Being as small as they are in the interior and having little to no shooting on the floor really hurts them. The are driving to the middle and staring at Lauri and Walker every time.

It felt like we got a rough whistle... didn't shoot the ball well... threw the ball all over the gym... and still gutted out a win against them. I'd be surprised if we didn't got 3-1 against them... assuming we are healthy.

We could easily draft Miller at 9th imo if he slides like I am expecting. Keyonte is a top 6 lock barring being at a murder scene and squeeling tot he prosection to save himself. imo and we are not drafting Keonte either if we jump to 1-4.
The only reason the prosecution has a case is with Millers testimony, so he was not charged.
